I am well within the mark when I say the that all the armies that have ever marched, the the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned-put together-have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as this one, solitary life.

If there was no ressurrection/miricales, how could this life be the most influential life of all time?

I came in when to A&W (have been craving for a month) and when we were paying the girl thought our $20 was fake and I was so tempted to say "Dad, I thought you stopped making fake bills."

Then we went to EB Games (Gamestop). I got Soul Caliber IV, I love making your own guy and PWNING noobs online. My brother got Pixel Junk Monsters can not wait to play that.

I got a girlfriend at the lake we had fun :P Then she went back to Edmonton :( My friend matt came out for a bit and we had lots of fun Biking, Dirtbiking, cliff jumping and scuba diving.

Sony: I liked it and there were suprises around every corner, Resistance for PSP :):):):), GoW3 officially announced :):):):), MAG!!! I have heard so many people say, "That won't work!" You don't think they have been thinking about that for a long time??? Also look at WoW and Age of Conan around 2000 people in a server??? It will work :P Resistance 2 looks so so good. Killzone multiplayer looks sweet. LBP rocks my boat, when they did the demo on gamespot SackBoy was using a controller in the main menu copying what you press :P Everybody knows I love FPS and the list of them keeps growing!!! Proof for God! How do Atheists Respond?

How do atheists respond to this "proof of God"? Some atheists admit there's some kind of Designer out there. Astronomer Fred Hoyle had his atheism shaken by the Anthropic Principle and the complexity he saw in life. Hoyle concluded, "A commonsense interpretation of the facts suggests that a super intellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature." While Hoyle was vague about just who this "super intellect" is, he recognized that the fine tunning of the universe requires intelligence.

Other atheists admit design but then claim there is no Designer. They say is all happened by chance when there's zero probability that all of the 100-plus constants would be as they are in the absence of intelligence? It's not easy. Atheists have had to resort to wild speculation to give chance more of a chance. Their speculation is the Multiple Universe Theory.

According to the Multiple Universe Theory, there actually are an infinite number of universes in existence, and we just happen to be lucky enough to be in the universe with the right conditions. Given an infinite number of universes, these atheists say, every set of conditions will occur, including the life-supporting conditions of our universe.

There are multiple problems with this multiple-universe explanation. First, and most significantly, there's no evidence for it! The evidence shows that all of finite reality came into existence with the Big Bang. Finite reality is exactly what we call "the universe." If other finite realities exist, they're beyond our ability to detect. No one has ever observed any evidence that such universes exist. That's why this multiple universe idea is nothing more that a metaphysical concoction-a fairy tale built on blind faith-as detached from reality as Stephen Hawking's "imaginary time."

Second, an infinite number of finite things-whether we're talking about days, books, bangs or universes-- is actually impossible. There can't be an unlimited number of limited universes.

Third, even if other universes could exist, they would need fine tuning to get started just as our universe did. So positing multiple universes doesn't eliminate the need for a Designer-it multiplies the need for a Designer!

Fourth, the Multiple Universe Theory is so broad that any event can be explained away by it. For example, if we ask, "Why did the planes hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?" we need not blame Muslim terrorists: the theory lets us say that we just happened to be in the universe where those planes-though they appeared to be flown deliberately into the buildings-actually hit the buildings by accident. With the Multiple Universe Theory we can even let Hitler off the hook. Perhaps we just happened to be in the universe where the Holocaust appeared to be murder, but actually the Jews secretly conspired with the Germans and sent themselves into ovens. In fact, the Multiple Universe Theory is so broad that it can even be used to excuse the atheists who made it up. Perhaps we just happened to be in the universe where people are irrational enough to suggest that such nonsense is the truth!

In the end, the Multiple Universe Theory is simply a desperate attempt to avoid the implications of design. It doesn't multiply chances, it multiplies absurdities. It's akin to Apollo 13 astronauts denying the fact that NASA designed and built their spacecraft in favor of the unsupported theory that there are an infinite number of naturally occurring spacecraft out there and the astronauts are just lucky to be on the one that supports life. Such a theory is, of course, nonsense, and is obvious absurdity reveals how strong evidence for design really is. Extreme evidence calls for extreme theories to explain it away.

There are more than 122 Anthropic Constants, if any one of these were altered, we would all be dead. Athrophysicist Hugh Ross has calculated the probability that all 122 constants would exist today for any planet in the universe by chance (without God). Assuming there are 100000000000000000000000 planets in the universe, there is a one in 10 with 138 zeros after it! There are only 10 with 70 zeros after it atoms in the entire universe. In fact, there is zero chance that any planet in the universe would have the life supporting conditions we have.

Anthropic Constant 1: Oxygen Level On earth, oxygen comprises 21 percent of the atmosphere. That precise figure is an anthropic constant that makes life on earth possible. If oxygen were 26 percent, fires would erupt spontaneously; if it were 15 percent, human beings would suffocate.

Anthropic Constant 2: Atmospheric Transparency If the atmosphere were less transparent, not enough solar radiation would reach the earths surface. If it were more transparent, we would be bombarded with far too much solar radiation. In addition to atmospheric transparency, the atmospheric composition of precise levels of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and ozone are in themselves anthropic constants.

Anthropic Constant 3: Moon-Earth Gravitational Interaction If this interaction were greater than it currently is, tidal effects on the oceans, atmosphere and rotational period would be to sever. If it was less, orbital changes would cause climatic instabilities. In either event, life on earth would be impossible.

Anthropic Constant 4: Carbon Dioxide Level If the carbon dioxide level was higher than it is now, a runaway greenhouse effect would develop (we'd all burn up). If the level were lower than it is now, plants would not be able to maintain efficient photosynthesis (we would suffocate)

Anthropic Constant 5: Gravity If the gravitational force were altered by 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001 percent, our sun would not exist and therefore, neither would we.

A small change in the universe would result in big problems for us as well. As we have seen scientists have discovered that the universe is precisely designed to create the very narrow envelope of life-supporting conditions here on earth. Any slight variation in on of a number of environmental and physical factors would preclude us from even existing.

The extent of the universe's fine-tuning makes the Anthropic Principle one of the most powerful argument for the existence of God. It's not that there are just a few broadly defined constants that may have resulted by change. No, there are more than 100 very narrowly defined constants that strongly point to an intelligent Designer. We've already identified 5 of them. Here are 10 more:

1. If the centrifugal force of planetary movements did not precisely balance the gravitational forces, nothing could be held in orbit around the sun.

2. If the universe had expanded at a rate one millionth more slowly that it did, expansion would have stopped, and the universe would have collapsed on itself before any stars had formed. If it had expanded faster, then no galaxies would have formed.

3. Any of the laws of physics can be described as a function of the velocity of light (now defined to be 299, 792, 458 meters per second). Even a slight variation in the speed of light would alter other constants and preclude the possibility of life on earth.

4. If water vapors in the level of the atmosphere were greater than they are now, a runaway greenhouse effect temperatures to rise to high for human life; if they were less, an insufficient greenhouse effect would make the earth to cold for human life.

5. If Jupiter were not in its current orbit, the earth would be bombarded with space material. Jupiter's gravitational field acts as a cosmic vacuum cleaner, attracting asteroids and comets that would otherwise strike earth.

6. If the thickness of Earth's crust were greater, too much oxygen would be transferred to the crust to support life. If it were thinner, volcanic and tectonic activity would make life impossible.

7. If the rotation of the earth to longer than 24 hours, temperature differences would be to great between night and day. If the rotation period were shorter, atmospheric wing velocities would be too great.

8. The 23-degree axil tilt of the earth is just right. If the tilt were altered slightly, surface temperatures would be too extreme on earth.

9. If the atmospheric discharge (lightning) rate were greater, there would be too much fire destruction; if it were less, there would be too little nitrogen fixing in the soil.

10. If there were more seismic activity, much more life would be lost; if there was less, nutrients on the ocean floors and in river runoff would not be cycled back on the continents through tectonic uplift.

    Nobel Laureate Arno Penzias, codiscover of the radiation afterglow, put it this way: "Astronomy leads us to a unique event, a universe which was created out of nothing and delicately balanced to provide exactly the conditions required to support life, In the absence of an absurdly-improbable accident, the observations of modern science seem to suggest an underlying, on might say, supernatural plan."

Cosmologist Ed Harrison uses the word proof when he considers the implications of the Anthrpic Principle on the question of God. "Here is the cosmological proof for the existence of God-the design argument of Paley-updated and refurbished, The fine-tuning of the universe provides prima facie evidence of deistic design."

The Universe had a beginning

"Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind."

Albert Einstein wanted the universe to be self-existent-not reliant on any outside cause-- but the universe appeared to be one giant effect. In fact, Einstein so disliked the implications of General Relativity (which is now proven to 5 decimal places) He tried to deny what he found by introducing a cosmological constant into his equations in order to show the universe was static and to avoid an absolute beginning.

Soon after British cosmologist Arthur Eddington conducted an experiment that proved that General Relativity was indeed true. The universe had a beginning. Like Einstein he was not happy with his findings.

Hubble then discovered a red shift in the light from every observable galaxy, which meant that the galaxies were moving away from a single point in the distant past. After his findings Einstein wanted to see for himself, he went up and this findings astounded him, he then said "to know how God created the world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thought, the rest are details."

In the beginning there was a great SURGE

The Second Law of thermodynamics is the S in SURGE. Thermodynamics is the study of matter and energy, the second law states, among other things, that the universe is running out of usable energy. With each passing moment, the amount of usable energy is growing smaller , leading scientists to the obvious conclusion that one day all the energy will be gone and the universe will die.

The Second Law is also known as the Law of Entropy, which is a fancy way of saying that nature tends to bring things to disorder. With time, things naturally fall apart. But if the universe is becoming less ordered, then where did the original order come from? Astronomer Robert Jastrow likens the universe to a wound up clock. If the wind-up clock is running down, then someone must have wound it up. This aspect of the second law also tells us that the universe has a beginning. Since we still have some order left the universe can not be eternal, because if it was we would have reached complete disorder by now.

U The Universe is expanding, how does this prove a beginning? If we could watch a video of the universe in reverse, we would see all matter in the universe collapse back to a point not even the size of a pinhead, but mathematically and logically to a point that is actually nothing (no space, no time, no matter). Once their was nothing and then, BANG, there was everything, the entire universe exploded into being! It is important to understand that the universe is not expanding into empty space, but space itself is expanding, there was no space before the big bang. In fact, there are no "befores" without time, and there was not time until the big bang (Time = space + matter)

Radiation. Technically known as the cosmic background radiation, this after glow is actually light and heat from the initial explosion. The light is no longer visible because its wave length has been stretched by the expansion of the universe.

Galaxy Seeds. These temperature ripples enable matter to congregate by gravitational attraction into galaxies. The satellite COBE was sent out to see if these ripple were out there. COBE not only found these ripples, but scientists were amazed in their precision. The ripples show that the explosion and expansion of the universe was precisely tweaked to cause just enough matter to congregate to allow galaxy formation, but not enough to cause the universe to collapse back on itself. ANY slight variation one way or another and none of us would be here to tell about it. In fact the ripples are so exact (down to one part in one hundred thousand) that George Smoot called them "machining marks from the creation of the universe" and the "fingerprints of the maker."

Einstein. The theory of General Relativity is the fifth line of scientific evidence that the universe had a beginning. This theory has been proven to 5 decimal places, demands an absolute beginning for time, space and matter. It shows that time, space and matter are co-relative. Meaning you can't have one without the others. From General Relativity scientists predicted and then found the expanding universe, radiation afterglow, and the great galaxy seeds that were precisely tweaked to allow the universe to form into its present state. Add these discoveries to the second law of thermodynamics and we have 5 lines of powerful evidence that the universe has a beginning.

Now that we have clarified that the universe started from nothing and created the universe as we know it today (0 + 0 = Everything). In part two I will talk about the 5 anthropic constants and much more.

Ok, I watched this MGS4 video and I dont understand it, can someone please explain? Link Thank you!

4.5? 6? wtf? I, after a lot of thought bought haze, it is a very intense/fun game. The story is good, the acting is good, the graphics are great and the script is funny. In my opinion I would give it a 8.5-9 it is a very enjoyable game and if you are unsure about getting it, I would recommend trying it out!!
