I take the hard drive out of my old one, get an external hard drive, put it there and use it as a backup? Problem is, i dont have, own, know or even saw a external HD so i have no idea how it may or may not work.
[QUOTE="emitsu97"] Any removal/replacement of a HDD in a PS3 prompts for formatting upon next boot up. Now that just bites me in the ass... I'l try that transfer thingy using the slim, if it doesnt work well its bye bye 300 hour save with wicked items and characters and last chance of me getting a platinum. And other saves( Critter Crunch R.I.P.)
The best thing to do is fix it yourself using one of the guides & videos on the internet. Then transfer your saves and get a Slim, that's what i did.

Not really an option, im not much of a handyman myself. How about if i took the HDD out of my old one, put on the Slim, backup the save files on a flash drive and re-insert the HDD into the Slim? Can that work?
So hear my problem: my launch day PS3 got the YLOD and after 3 weeks of sending in for repair im forced to take one out of 2 choices:
1. Fix my old one( Expensive)
2. Get a Slim (Not as Expensive)
Problem is, i got a lot of important save data on the old like my 300 hour Disgaea 3 save and 100% Fallout 3, so what i wanted to know from you is if any of you know of some way to transfer my old one's data for my new brand slim.
I could really apreciate some advice, and thank you for your time.
Really? Oblivion? I dont know, looks somewhat... bland from the stuff i saw, of course i never actually played it im just saying it from my perspective
Those arent exactly on my top ten, but on my video game retailer, those are half-off, soooo should i get one of those or just save up for the recently released InFamous or another title in the future? PS: Not really a fan of WRPG's, so if youre going to pick Oblivion, specify why
