Good game, but it's hard to get used to and it sucks once you come back from the space station.  I never bothered with the 4th disc.

Chrono Trigger, still.  I played it first when it was brand new and ever since it's been my favorite game ever.  It's going on what, 11 years now?  That must say something.  Chrono Cross was great too, but a bit late in my opinion, and after that I'd say FFX and FFVII.

I've been an FF fan since I played Final Fantasy Mysitc Quest back in the day, but oddly enough I never bought, played, or beat FFVII until I was a sophomore in high school (I'm in my third year of college now).  When FFX came out that same year, I was extatic.  I bought the necklace, the $40 foot tall Tidus figure, the American soundtrack, the Japanese soundtrack, small figures of all the characters...I can't remember what else because it's all in storage now.  And you know what?  I also have VIII, IX, and Chronicles.  My brother, who mainly plays the older games, recently bought and beat FF1.  I refuse to shell out the money for FFXI because it's a ripoff and I have other things to do these days, I thought X-2 was a good enough game, and FF:AC wasn't that bad and I'm eagerly anticipating FF: DOC and FF:CC (and they better not suck, or I might just boycott the rest).

I've been waiting for XII for more than three years.  The problem I have with XIII at this point is that they haven't even finished (that is, released it in the US) XII and they're already planning and working on XIII.  I've been waiting way too long for XII, and to be honest, I'm getting less and less interested with newer RPGs (I didn't like StarOcean: TTEOT AT ALL, and I'm having issues with wanting to finish DQVIII).  I know that XII will be good and that I'll have no problem with wanting to play it or any other Final Fantasy as long as it comes out before my kids (which I don't have any yet) turn 5.  So, I might have to stop with XII, too.  It probably seems funny anyway that a 20 year old who's married would be an FF fan with the legions of the younger cosplayers and fanatics (I was one too in my day, though...).

That doesn't mean I won't play the older ones still.  It's just the older I get, the more I play my older PS1 games because those are the ones I grew up with, and even if I play newer FFs (which I'm sure I will anyway, no matter who looks at me funny for it), but they probably won't have the same place in my life that the older ones do.  But who knows, maybe I'll play newer FFs with my kids, and they'll be just as meaningful.  Who knows, right?

As for being ripped off, I say to each his own.  Doesn't mean I'm going to buy everything at once, but I probably will eventually.  I'm not as big a fanatic as I used to be when it comes to FF (Metal Gear has taken the place of my fanaticism, lol), but I guess I don't know if I'm going to stop at FFXII.

But I'm still a fan of it either way, and to debate whether someone's a real fan because they haven't played something is rediculous.  I've never had an interest in finishing Final Fantasy Legend II for the Gameboy, and nobody's ever told me I wasn't a "real fan".

I will say this, though: if you don't like FFVII, then something's wrong with you.

I wish I had pics of mine, but I don't due to current-place-where-I-live reasons. They're in storage, but I have the 12" tall Tidus figure (whose leg refuses to stay on), a PlayArts Yuna from FFX-2, Squall, Rinoa, Zell and Seifer from FFVIII figures, soundtracks for VII through X-2 and XI, the Tidus necklace, keychain --- I lost the ring in a blizard, believe it or not, to make a long story short --- and the Rinoa necklace/ring...well, I used to, but I gave it to my girl a few years ago

Yeah, actually I got it right as I was entering the crater to go after Sephiroth.  I'll just say it was very convenient, but I wished I could've stopped Barret from leveling up.

Okay, so apparently I'm in this union.  I'm never really on forums much, but who knows, that might change.

My real name's Chris, I'm going to be 20, I live in Pennsylvania (U.S. for those who might not know).

I really got into RPGs when Chrono Trigger came out, and to this day it's still one of my top favorite games, 11 years later.  I've played every FF since VII (except XI because I don't feel like paying for online, lol), and believe it or not, I still haven't gotten to disc four on VIII...

Other than FF and Square Enix games, I play Ace Combats and Metal Gears.
