Look at the list of popular games on the bottom of the home page...not one at this moment is listed as PS3. There is no theory about that.

Those are not determined by Gamespot, but the number of people interested in the game. Thread Over.

Not quite over...let me restate for those that don't read details so well, and I'll make it bold for you younger kiddies:

I believe that since there is so very little performance difference for these games between the various platforms, assigning any one platform name with a title is misleading. Especially since the PS3 seems to have its name up on the lists less than any of the others. Granted it may be less popular for any number of reasons (availability, price, etc.), but the listing of a title and associating it with a single platform gives, the XBOX for example, an advantage in perception that can't be overcome as there are simply more users out there...

Here is another example from the most popular list...COD4 got the same ratings across all the platforms, however since there are more XBOX users out there looking at it, when it appears on the most popular list it appears as an XBOX title. I think that it should be based on the title alone and that if COD4 makes it to the list, a single listing covering all platforms show be shown. That would be the fair way to rate the title and not show preference to a platform.

If the ratings were not the same for each platform for some reason, that could be noted within the overall listing detailing the platforms for which the title is available.

I'm pretty sure The Orange Box was delayed yet again for the POS3. Try again. If GS was bias toward the PS3 they would have good reasons to. It is better to treat a system a way a system should be treated if it is a piece of crap than to lie about it to their users and possibly encourage them to waste their money on an overpriced console. GS is looking out for you!

First of allno one is saying the PS3 is a piece of crap, so you are living on another planet if you believe it is. Second, Im not saying the reviews themselved are biased, but the amount of coverage seems to be skewed towards every other platform out there. If I were to use this siteas a tool indeciding which platform to go with, it would appear that the PS3 has far less current titlesdue to the fact that on this website,if a title is cross platform, the PS3 version is stuffed in the back for you to find on your own...

I just think that since there is so very little performance difference for these games between the various platforms, assigning any one platform name with a title is misleading. Especially since the PS3 seems to have its name up on the lists less than any of the others. Haters aside, what is wrong with this list by pure title not platform?

Duuude, it's not Gamespots fault the PS3 doesn't have many good titles out . . .deepdreamer256

See thats the bias part...it has almost ALL OF THE SAME TITLES OUT>>>you just don't have them presented to you in any other way but from the XBOX perspective...

Why does this issue revolve around a pitfall game review?

I don't have a theory or an agenda...I'm just asking the question.

Is the real answer justthat there just isn't an interest in PS3 games by those paticipating in this site, and that when the games are reviewedandshown on all other platforms itsjust a coincidence?

Wow you sure had those graphics for conspiracy kooks all ready to go...that does seem a bit odd to me that you responed that way in less than 30 secs. I haven't posted a topic before this one, but it seems you were just waiting to respond with a viscious attitude.

It seems that all the most popular games reviewed and listed on this website are listed as either being on the XBOX platform, Wii, or PC even if they exist on the PS3. Often you would have to search the PS3 database to see if they are even offered on the PS3, and in many instances they are available but seemed to be ignored. Why is it this way?

For example, the VERY popular "Orange Box" which has been out for a couple of months on other platforms and is coming to the PS3 on 12/11 isn't even listed in the coming soon list for the PS3 while a few going out as far as the second quarter of 2008 are shown. Could it be that no one is interested in it on the PS3? Do the PS3 titles not deserve equal time and space on this website? Is the PS3 less capable, less entertaining?

Clearly there are more XBOX systems out in the hands of gamers as they had a headstart in getting their next gen console out into the marketplace, but does that mean that more than a year later the PS3 can be ignored as a platform of worth?

Perhaps this is the fault of Sony for losing a grip on it's exclusive titles? Perhaps the flow of games is not as strong on the PS3 more than a year after it's release due to Sony's lack of attention at the developer level?

Tell me PS3 owners, am I alone in my perspective or is there some validity to my rant? Is there a lack of PS3 showing? If so who is to blame?

BTW, I posted this exact question in the PS3 section of this forum and it was locked by moderators, and followed by a warning that it belonged in this system wars section...how long before they close it here I wonder? If this posting is locked my subscription will certainly not be renewed...
