I played this game at EB-games. And I'm dissapointed. Even 360 Launch titles looked better.
Sonic and the secret rings looked better. I'm pulling my flame-shield out now. But trust me, the controlls felt stiff, and it wasn't incrediable.
8.0 at max.
I understand that no one will believe me here. But the Darkness for the 360/PS3 looks better than Gears of War. From a tech-stand point I'm sure it doesn't. But the graphics and the effects are wowing!
The sceen at the end, the real in-game cutsceen, where your throwing people, and stabbing them, and blood and guts are going everywhere. It looks amazing!
Almost CG at times. The shadows are incrediable. I've never seen a jag at 1080p on my 42' vizio. And the motion blur and the blood and everything looks so real! Even the animations are incrediable.
I mean the game-beats bioshock. Not on water or other stuff. But wow.
The Darkness just looks truely next-gen to me. Anyone agree?

Well let me tell you. Last year I had two systems. The Game-Cube and the PlayStation 2. The Game-Cube was kinda blehh but it had some great games on it.
However even though the GameCube had better graphics. The PlayStation 2 had wayy better games. And alot of them.
But when I first heard about the [Nintendo Revolution] I was in complete awe. I remember seeing Red Steel pictures in an old Game Infrormer magazine. [However I found out that the images just like the E3 Trailer were all fake].
But I didn't know that at the time and boyy was I excited! So when it came out I waited in line for 2 hours at a best-buy at 12am and got one! I went home opened a can of Red Bull and put in Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Now I was expecting Xbox 360 graphics. I was wrong. I was sadly dissappointed when I noticed how much the Wii's graphics looked to a GameCube. But it was still a great game and the wii-mote made it even more enjoyable.
However this wasn't the case when I put it Red Steel. The textures in Red Steel [or at least some of them] were only excuseable on the Nintendo 64. And no, I'm not lieing. There was a point where you were in a car-wash and you got onto the back of a truck that looked almost 2D and flat. The controllers were pretty awfull and there was actually some frame-rate issues.
Excite Truck was also fun but I was expecting some better graphics! The gameplay was also alittle unresponsive. And everytime the remove ventured barely off from the sensor bar my truck would go flying in every which-way.
Then I put in Call Of Duty 3. Which I was excited about. I had only seen some Xbox 360 and PS3 pictures but damn the pictures looked good. However on the Wii the controlls were alittle too unresponsive and you didn't feel the urge to keep playing with some ugly textures that almost fit in 2 years ago. However the smoke looked good?
I ended up saveing up and I bought an Xbox 360. And I had very little money left over so I bought the cheapest game there. Prey.
I loaded it up and I actualy got the shivers and kept saying 'Wow look at that!' as I walked around the almost fully interactive bar. The shadows the physics the animations! They all looked amazing! And when you entered the ship wow! It was great.
Of course I learned that this was low-end for the 360. After playing Gears of War and Crackdown. But thouse 10 hours I played of Prey were easily better than any-thing I played on the Wii.
I even recently got Metroid Prime 3. And I hated it. I don't know if I just love graphics. Or gameplay.
[Summary]
The reason for Wii-Bashing imho is because the Wii shouldn't even be here. With the lack of DVD support and actually good graphics people bash the wii because its a target to be bashed. The online has no communication at all. And the controls are poor. Its just a re-box of the GameCube with new controlls and interface. Bash me if you want. But this is my opinion.

Well. I'm taking Bioshock back today, because I got very bored with it. And hopefully It'll trade in for about 34$.
I'm thinking about geting Conkers Live and Reloaded, Final Fantasy XII, and Metal Gear Solid 3.
Is this a good or a bad choice?
Wait. Did I just hear someone compare this game's physics to Red Steels physics? roflcopter! Red Steel didn't have any physics! That was the reason why I hated Red Steel.
If you shoot objects in Red Steel they just fall right to the ground. There is no bump up or anything. Plus there is no high-res textures or anything. Red Steel also had fake lighting and everything.
Stranglehold looks damn good on my 42inch tv. And plays smooth, with great looking enviroments. The physics are mind-blowing. Thats the reason I paided 400$ for my Xbox 360.
You didn't pay 250$ for your Wii for awesome graphics. You paid $250 for minigames and wiimotes.
