It's using your CPU on a graphics test. Think about it. Your CPU isn't made to process graphics.

It doesn't matter how dirty your room is cuz the cleanness(new word lol) of your build makes up for it.:) I hate when people leave all the wires and crap hanging, it just show laziness and a lack of passion in my mind.

Hehe. Thanks for the compliment. I thought I could do a little better myself with the cable management. But I would have to drill a few extra holes by the optical drive cages to get it to my liking. I just don't have the right tools to do that.:(

I'm guessing your GPU isn't getting enough juice from the PSU. Read the PSU manual and find out what cords are needed to power it up. I know you have two 6-pin pci-e cords plugged in, but depending on the PSU, they may need to be on different 12v rails to power it up correctly. I had the the same problem with GTX 260 until I figured that out. Hope this helps.

well i think the airflow in my case is good, there just must be a problem with the heatsink on the cpu. Ive already taken it off like 5 times because when i first built my comp it wasn't on right and was at 100c. then i got it on and it seemed fine but mabye its still not on right.cole_793

Applying the thermal compound is also a big factor in installing the heatsink. If you've taken it off that many times then I'm sure the compound is uneven. You would need to clean it and reapply. Just invest some money into an aftermarket heatsink. It'll be well worth it.

[QUOTE="Silencer781"]Maybe it's just the crappy stock heatsink. I have my q6600 oc'd to 3.4 and my idle temperature is at 38. On high load it will reach 62 max.cole_793
is that with a stock heatsink?

Nope, I have a Tuniq Tower 120 heatsink. But my case has a crapload of airflow too with 5 intake fans and 3 exhaust fans.

I forgot to mention that but I did install the raid drivers. Anyways, I figured out what was wrong. One of the drives were bad. My bios can't even detect it anymore. And I was able to install Vista on the other one without a hitch. I really want a raid setup so I'm going to RMA the other drive and have to start all over again. :(

Thanks to everyone for trying to help. I appreciate it.

Can you help me set it up? I'm new to Vista so I'm still learning about it.
