2 has better Campaign because it doesn't have a library level although Sacred icon and quarntine zone is quite close

1 has better multiplayer levels (if you don't have the multiplayer map pack)

2 has online multiplayer, 1 doesn't. I can't comment on Xbox Live because i don't have it.

Overall 2 is better but only just.
