[QUOTE="rahmie0789"]Yea, but with better games and a warrenty to get a free system whenever it breaks makes a hard comparison to the ps3. I had a ps3 before I got my 360, and the only thing that positive benifit the ps3 has over any system is: BluRay, and MGS4henry4th

Be more specific (without getting into a console wars arguement,) but what games do you speak of that are "better"?

And the fact that you have to ship your 360 in a coffin 2 times a year is no big deal for you?

rahmie's xbox360 must not have broken yet. Cuz if it is broken, you will then see if you can really get a free system. Remember, only the RROD is covered in the 3 years warranty, all other problems are not. Also, many times you just get a refurbished box which will break again soon. good luck to your machine though.

I can say my PS3 makes an excellent BluRay Player, easily worth the $300 price if you bought it from sonystyle. If you bought it from a store, I'm sorry. You're out $100. As for other great things about a PS3, it's new games look pretty much the same as a 360's, which is great. It also has most of the games a 360 has, but with free mildly more annoying multiplayer.. great for the casual gamer. Personally until recently I've felt the PS3 was a real dog with few high quality exclusives or mulitplat games.. now it's got some excellent titles with a strong list of high quality games in the pipe and a nice price on sonystyle. A large catalog of blue ray titles makes it even more compelling.

I wouldn't use the reliability arguement anymore though, a new 360 with the upgraded heatsink and smaller chip is very reliable and quiet. My near launch version RROD'd, but that's the price of playing high def games a year earlier with better earlier games. New buyers get a reliable system no matter which they buy. Go play BioShock, MGS4, COD4, GTA4, Drake's, Rockband, Resistance or Heavenly Sword. If you really get bored go trade your PS3 for your friend's xbox for a week and get your Gears or Halo fix. He'll likely have lots of fun playing the PS3 exclusives he missed out on.

[QUOTE="ENDOT12123"]

[QUOTE="marcl18123"]the 360 better redesign their dpad then cuz as of now it sux for fighting games, imomarcl18123

yep tru tru

and because of this all the 360 fanboys will do like they did DMC4, say it sux (mostly cuz they suck at it) and compare it to a similar game on the 360, in this case DOA

I don't quite understand how the 360 controller "sux" for fighting games. You can hit all four major buttons, the bumpers and the triggers as well as the dpad with minimal movements of your fingers, just like on the PS controller. I have both. The controller did work just fine for DOA btw, as well as SF II (the gold standard). It seems to me the 360 controller is very similar to the SNES.

Why not just rent a few of those? at blockbuster you can rent a game for week and a half for $8, You can't be playing all of those for over a month. And if you get nostalgic, go buy it later for $20-30 when it's a platinum hit. I even got through lost odyssey for $16 starting on its release date.

I believe they've gone a little downhill after the horrible underrating they just gave lost odyssey, but not reviewing games before they come out is gamespot policy. Unlike IGN they do not review pre-released games. As for the lost odyssey review.. they greatly exaggerated the technical glitches in the game. I just finished it and the longest loading time was 20 sec, not 4 min. Loading times were consistent with Mass Effect, which I also finished. They also made great effort to complain ablout the hiccups. While a sad problem with a finished product, it only happened about 20 times in the entire game. That's about 20 min in a 50 hour game. I think the game compares favorable with Final Fantasy 8, not quite as good as ten, but a better story than 12's weak plot. Enough ranting though.

I would keep it solely because it's the best blu-ray player still. A better bluray player will likely cost more than you'll make selling it for the next year at least. Current bluray players can take up to 4 minutes to load a movie.(all of them, confirmed by sony style) A PS3 only takes about a min and a half at worst. There are other things that make the PS3 better for that as well.

As for the games.. suck it up and buy a 360. Halo 3 is the best online game period.. there's a very good reason hundreds of thousands of people are online at the same time every day, all day. That will likely continue for years as it has before. There's usually50k to 100k people playing unranked team slayer alone.... because it doesn't get old. As for other games... just do a search on all the 360 games ranked 8.0 and above on gamespot.

Last word.. you'll be sorry if you sell your PS3 after paying through the nose for it. You might as well enjoy being a blu-ray early adopter... There's always Solid Snake's return in a few months as well.

In Halo there is much more strategy and weapon choice. In Gears its pretty much who can get close and hit someone with a shotgun. Memories of Quake 3 arena surface.. I think that sums up which is more fun. I like gears.. but halo 3 online is perfect. Maulers, snipers, shotguns, assault rifles, sticky grenades and much more all have their purpose. It's like Command and Conquer vs Starcraft.
