Okay, so I just asked myself: Why would someone want to read my blog? It's just my random opinions right? Why not make it interesting? -- So I decided that I should change up my blog format to make it more interesting to you, the reader. From now on, here is the new format for my new blog posts, starting from my next one:
Nostalgia moment: this is where I'll post a youtube link to a video (most likely only a song) that will trigger nostalgia to anyone who has played the game that it's from.
Updates on me: this is where I'll give updates on myself such as what I'm playing, what's up with my personal life, etc.
Random Review: I'll try to fit in random reviews here and there, and I'll take requests too. (Just make sure it's a game I've rated in my ratings)
Blog Content: This is the section where the actual main content of the blog will go, such as a rant, my opinions on something, etc. That's all I've got now. I might add a poll section with a question and a few selected answers so you can answer in your comment if you feel like it.

Anyway, here's the real blog:
--Windows 7--
Oh boy. Microsoft, Microsoft, Microsoft. First off, I'll say that the actual operating system works like a charm. It has the compatibility and performance of Windows XP and the eye candy of Vista. Everything is slick, and it really is "Your PC. Simplified".
However, the installation process was a *****. It says that I didn't need to backup my data (I couldn't anyway. My 400gb external was too full), because Windows 7 creates a backup folder with all your old files titled "Windows.Old". However, as you probably know, reliability isn't Microsoft's strong suit. After the installation was complete, I get a screen that says "upgrade unsuccessful" and my PC goes into an infinite reboot loop. I checked online, and tons of other people had the same problem. Many sites said it was the most common problem for Windows 7 installation (the new RROD? :P )
Anyway, I managed to find a fix for it and I had to do a clean install, which finally worked. The OS installed succesfully, and I just had to update my video card drivers for the Windows 7 theme effects to work. As expected, I lost ALL my files. It was rather tragic. So, let's take a moment of silence for SilverChimera's lost files*****************
Anyway, I actually like Windows 7. A lot. It's a very slick interface and everything seems easy to use. Good job Microsoft! If I had to score it, it would be from a 7.5 to an 8.5 out of 10.

My Christmas wishlist... hmmm, I've bought a ton of games this year, and if I had to make a wishlist, it would probably have the following in it:
1. inFamous
2. Assassin's Creed 2
3. Batman: Arkham Asylum
4. 120gb+ PS3 Hard Drive
5. Line 6 Pod (to record my guitar audio digitally)
and that's all I can think of now. Have a nice day everyone, and Happy Holidays,
~SilverChimera
