I was thinking about doing video reviews on this site but I realized there is already a crap load of people out there that do them so I thought for a few weeks and last night a different idea popped into my head. I have a crapload of games on multiple systems so why not do something like a recommendation thinger. Which would be like once every couple weeks I will pick out a game or get some recommendations for a console and genre for that system. Then I can see what I can find that I think is a worthwhile game that I should recommend for the game collectors like me out there. Of course I will not be doing much of next gen games since I find them over priced 95% of the time and hold off till the price goes down or its given to me as a gift or if it is part of a series that I am a die hard fan for xP So anyways just throwing ideas out there to see how many seem intrested. I will elave this post up for about a month to see if it gathers intrest and figure out if it worthwhile or not.
On the note of christmas was meh I suppose and I finally got a new wii game after months since I purchased Resident Evil 4. The game I recieved was Metroid Prime 3 and I was surprised that the game actually held out alot better then I expected on the wii. Sure it took out quite a few things from other primes but it added some other stuff that made the game a bit easier and more enjoyable then some of the past installments. Though the only thing that really got on my nerves was jumping with the ball since I was always confused with what motion you had to do with the remote, flick it up or drop it since it would go crazy at times. Other then that one issue the motion controls they worked pretty gewd. Also I beat the game last night with 100% and it took me 14 hours and 12 mins if I recall correctly on my first play through on normal.
Well awhile back I stated how I wanted nothing for christmas. Well I told everyone and all they do is fuxing backstab me and still buy me something:/ So that means I am going to have to waste even more cash for presents I put no thought into and tell them what they are getting since I don't want to waste time wrapping and killing more trees for a unnesscary holiday. But at least my brothers Girlfriend is right. I can just donate the stuff I get afterwards since everyone refused to listen to me except the one brother.
BUT ON A LIGHTER NOTE. I went to my friends house again for the first time in a few months and surprise surprise he wasn't there so I helped myself in like usual since his family is okay with my random visists. I tried looking for his guitar hero and a working PS2 in his house but couldn't find either. After half a hour he shows up and we look together till we realize his little bro took both of them to his friends house. Which meant I couldn't play guitar hero but that didn't stop me so me and my friend decided I should go buy another PS2 and a copy of the game so we could play right away. And that is what I did. I went out bought a silver slim PS2 swapped it for a black before swapping it back to a silver when my friend said I like being different and no one else we know has a silver PS2. Also grabbed the first manhunt game since it was in the EB there and it is a rather half decent stealth type game. Then we drove around for a hour that sold a copy of Guitar Hero bundle that wasn't 3. In the end I bought the Guitar Hero 3 bundle and bough the guitar hero 1 and 2 compilation and just Sold the 3rd one to my friend since I have it on the 360. So after 2 hours we were finally ready to rock and we played for a whole 25 mins before I had to get home to take care of other stuff. So have been playing those 3 games constantly for the last week which has been alot of fun.
Lately I have been hating the idea of christmas because people "pretend" to be nice to each other when 95% of people aren't really that nice at the time. I hate when people lie to me about their mood. And plus why does everyone have to buy crap from stores as christmas presents? there is not really that much thought put into it since someone else built that item and your just purchasing it from them to give to someone saying "I love you". Sure I may sound like a grinch but honestly stop and think for a change. After watching that episode of trailer park boys where ricky is in the church swearing and being blunt on stage with everyone it all clicked in my head and makes sense. In fact I am kinda planning on disappearing for the whole day without telling anyone to see one of my closest friends hopefully.
Also for christmas people have been harassing me nonestop what do you want and stuff and I usually respond "nothing" or "nothing you can afford or give me". This has been going on since mid october since my family likes to get this stuff out of the way which I understand. And one reason why I say nothing because if I do ask for something it would probably be game related and I am tired of asking for the same type of stuff. Apparenly a couple members already bought me stuff and wanted me to tell them ideas for rest of the family.
Another thing is my familys current financial situation so I told them I didn't want to celbrate christmas and didn't want no presents so they can save their money and I can save mine. Unfortuntly they already bought me stuff so I asked them what they wanted in return since I don't want to be greedy. So I purchased the crap they wanted and told them they can't touch it till christmas. So hopefully that will save me time and some trees beingtransformed into crappy wrapping paper.
Then the other night I get a e-mail from one of my friends and she goes on how she does not want any commerical gifts only stuff made by you if its a simple drawing or something else built specfically for her. And I am like I agree someone else is finally sharing how I view christmas and getting tired of being bought commerical items all the time. She then says she told her family if they can't do that then make donations in her name to some wildlife fund and let her know. If not she doesn't want anything.
So this had me thinking and I was like she has a good point. So the next day I basically go up to people and say all I wanted for christmas was people to make donations in my name to some worthwhile fund that helped animals or don't give me anything. Since I believe animals should be protected more then humans that is why I think money should be donated towards them. So I told mother to pass it along to whomever and at first she thought it was a joke untill I told her I won't speak with her about the subject what I want anymore since she knows now.
So if your still stuck on what to ask for then do what my one friend did and what I am doing now. Stop being greedy and think about others instead of yourself since I finally get it now. I have learnt so much and realized so much more in the past year without cable plugged into my TV then I ever did before. I dare you to tell everyone that is still asking or stuck on what to get you this "make a donation to ______ fund under my name or don't get m nothing".
Whoever else does this I want to know.
Haven't updated this blog of mine in ages so I decided why not now after I finally hit a lovely milestone in my game collection.
Its called my 200th game purchase.
Yesterday had to go to Vernon to grab brother from Ebnezers(sp?) so I decided to check and see what they have in this time around. It is a store where they basically sell old to new stuff. So like video games its like SNES-Current gen. Action figures from like the 70s to current, Hot wheels, books, VHS, DVDs, Managa, tabletop games, straetgy books you can't find anymore, comics from the 50s and up. So basically a kickass store. So I checked out their video games like I usually do and stuff that intrested me were f-zero for the SNES and I love playing on that machine instead of the wii so I grabbed it. And I saw goldeneye for the N64 and grabbed it since so many people said it rocked for the N64 so I said sure why not. That meant my collection was at 199 games but I was like meh whatever and go to the counter with my two games I picked out. And behind I noticed they had a bunch of stuff they got in and one stack was SNES so I asked for it. I flipped through them all disapointed till I saw......
I remembered playing this on a friends SNES back in the day and I loved it so I said sure why not even though its still friggin hard for me to beat but after remastering the game I might stand a chance to actually finishing it this time xP
So Congradulations Mega Man X for claiming the title of my 200th game added to my collection and I hope you live a wonderful life with me till we depart.
Ever since 2000 when I purchased my first game. Homeworld. I started to collect games and slowly build up my collection. The first game console I ever purchased was the Xbox in 2002 where we spent glorious days together may it be gaming or listening to music or watching movies. We were in love and I called her Sarabi. 2003 came along and that is when I purchased my first TV shown in the picture, its never really been used for watching television except when I had to live with sister for a few months but afterwards it has been dedicated to nothing but my games and is the best piture tube I could have bought the first time around. Though as I began to start working better jobs I started to earn cash alot faster and that is when the collection tripled in size in less then 16 months to what it is now. So here is the most up to date picture I got that I snapped a few weeks ago. But its kinda outdated now since the collection has more items in it now >.>
