i was in this same kind of position 3 years ago. i got a boyfriend and then my friend all of a sudden got possessive and tried to break us up so he can go after me. i was sooo pissed at him that i well... i cursed at him everyday and i made fun of him (just so he could stop going after me and i'd stay true to my boyfriend). i figured if i hated him he'd get over it, but he took the abuse which was so sad :( that's the best way he remembers me.
so i finally broke up with the guy i was going out with after 2 years, and i stay single for 1 whole year. then i like the guy that was going after me (the one i made fun of) lol thing is it was too late, even though he had the old feelings left i treated him too bad for him to want that. but think about it from her side, don't pressure her that's the worst.
