What happened to the site? Embedded ads trying to convince us that the bloated edge browser is superior to Chrome without any evidence to the fact. Virtually no compelling original content. Copy-and-paste articles edited slightly to fan the embers of the console war frames that dies out long ago. MIA staff members who rarely make an appearance to say anything meaningful... Not sure what happened, but it appears your run is over. Best of luck to all the staff members in their future endeavors. Lots of talent wasted at this joke of a website.
Why are all topics about the new rainbow Gamespot logo being locked? It's a legitimate issue. I support same sex marriage 100%, and fully realize the historical significance of the supreme court ruling. However, this is a gaming website and should not promote any one special interest above any others. It's all about equality you see. Don't bother responding. I won't be back.
Their new logo has me wondering. No problem if it is. Just seems like an odd forum for a policitcal/moral/social statement. Personally, I think this site should be about video games.
@q433: No need to over analyze this one. It's the same simplistic, shallow, contextual button mash that it's always been. Basically they took a barely passable combat mechanic and made timing a little more critical. AC combat has needed an major overhaul for a very long time, and it was ignored once again. The game would be so much better if they added combos, evasion moves, maybe even skills. Of course that would be overkill unless enemies were given intelligence, instead of acting like a bunch of simpletons that were thrown into battle with no combat training. Once again AC is a game with a pretty face, and gameplay distilled for the masses. Look elsewhere if you want decent combat. Even the forgettable Remember Me kicks AC's ass in that department.
