Honestly the xbox is the only brand gaming could live without. They've done more harm than good ever since they came. The SCAM that is the "pay-to-play online" for starters...

You must be young...

Super Nintendo, SEGA Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, all cost much more than XBL, not to mention paying for long distance minutes. And that was for much less than you get with Xbox Live. Paying $60 per month for Xbox Live infrastructure, and server upkeep is much better than paying for the modem hardware to make your Super Mario Kart cartridge open up the online mode, then pay the 9.95 per month just to connect to another SNES without and server inbetween.

When I was in high school, many kids in my class were paying $21.95 per month for SEGAnet, and then some games required a payment on top of that to use other servers.

If you think Microsoft was a pioneer of charging for an online platform, your out of touch with reality. It may suck paying an extra $60/year, but not only is it much less than people were paying prior to XBLIVE, but it also adds a ton of features that we did not have with the more expensive prior online options.

Some of my faves that arent popular are: Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Demon hunter, and Underoath. I know they are all Christians bands, but IMO most people can relate to thier music, they are for much more than christians.

I know there are ways to combat scammers, but Ebay is just such a large corporation that they don't stop the scammers, There are several big time scammers that are power sellers and have over 2000 positive feedback. they show pics of great condition games in thier auctions but they are just stock pics, and you may end up getting a dirt covered copy of a rare game. for common games this is not that big of a deal but I kow several people that have paid $100+ for rare NES/SNESE games that got ripped pretty bad and Ebay just siad well you got the game, who cares about stock pics!!

By scammers I mean people that send you a crappy condition game, or a buyer that pulls a Paypal refund on you.

If you are using a PC you can download gamecam software, or if you are using a console, and still have a VCR you can run the output into the VCR before it goes into the TV and record it on a tape then transfer the tape to PC...lots of work, I wish you the best!!

Amazon is cool, but they are usualy higher than I want to pay, and i can find stuff on Ebay or GameGavel for less. The main problem I have with Ebay is that alot of scammers are poping up nowdays.

I prefer K-Mart over Target for clearance games becase they dont mark them with special tags rightaway, I just got some DS and X360 games for $5 yesterday that were marked $20.

Plus my target sells out of the good clearance games within 24 hours of hitting the shelves!!
