Prey had a cool ending. It was pleasing and it left room for a sequel (which was announced). Bioshock had a meh ending. Cod4 had an EPIC ending. HL2:EP2 ending was cool. EP1 ending sucked though... I can't think of any other FPS's because there were hardly any this year, but on the next half of this year there'll be a few more, so ask me in the end of 2008!
Actually this is the first protection that seemed to be useful against pirates. It took them 2 and a half weeks to crack it. I saw lot's of "Screw this I'm tired of waiting... I'm buying this game" comments in pirate sites. Any1 who still pirates it after these 2 and a half weeks probably wouldn't buy it anyways so it's a good idea to use it. And I never had any problems with my legit copy. Works like a charm and the copy protection didn't bother me. It's a smart move by EA.
P.S: Look at Alone in the Dark... that game hasn't been cracked by anyone yet and it uses similiar protections. So if their sales will fail it'll ONLY be cuz their game sucked. Pirates can't be blamed.
This is a good time to delay this game and fix everything!! Eurogamer are a good site and in 95% of the times I agree with them. If you release it like this everyone will be pissed off. Postpone it and keep working on it.
Yes, the game is good. I was a GM on one of the known private servers called "l2x" aka "Lineage 2 Extreme" and I quitted like a week before the FBI shut it down. :)
It's a fun game... Way more fun then this stupid WoW game. It actually has an amazing pvp system. After L2, I couldn't find any MMORPG that can top that game. Seriously
As for the free 2 play... only on private servers. It's not exactly legal, so I can't really direct you to one.
Here's a small little fact for you - Gamespot are no longer a valid PC info site. They're like GameTrailers now. Harldy providing any PC info and are bunch of console fanboys. On the other hand there's IGN PC section which is 1 of the best. They, unlike GS, still have respect for the PC and provide useful reviews, previews, news and other stuff like that. In most cases they are the ones who provide interviews with dev's and publishers about the PC industry.
As for AC - I played this game myself, and only did it on the PC so I don't exactly know which mission was the new mission that wasn't on the console, but all of the missions were fun, but it got kinda repetetive. As for the controller - I have no idea how you can control this with a pad... It fits perfectly to a mouse and keyboard controlls. Go with the PC. Go with IGN.
I don't think locking Steam will be a legal move... It definitely won't be a smart move. Nobody will use it if they'll lock steam. But hey, I hope Microsoft will compete against Steam because competition will bring us better titles from both sides. :)
Wait what? It has like 4 tracks. How can that game take you long to finish? And more importantly: Why did you ever bother playing that lame excuse for a game?? It's not even worth pirating...
