Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders is an unique game and one of a kind. It combines RTS, RPG and hack and slash elements to create one of the most amazing games you will ever play. The RPG elements are handled very well as well. There is a huge amount of customization options available at towns. When you finish a mission; you get EXP and Gold which you can use in towns and camps to upgrade your character and troops. You get to buy new weapons, items and armours for the character you are playing as and you also get to buy equipment for his/her troop and the officers! Officers can also learn magic skills. You also have to level up troops, the levelling up is handled pretty well; teach a infantry unit archery and you can upgrade them into an archer unit. Troops can progress up to lv 99 while your character's troop can progress up to lv 50. The RTS elements are quite good. If you position an archer unit on high ground, they will do more damage. Position them facing the sun and they will find it hard to aim and as a result, there attacks will do less damage against enemy troops. Having your troops flank the enemy also provides bonus skill points (SP) which you can use to perform your character's special move or use to cast a spell/use an ability as a troop. Fighting and commanding your troops at the same time is more than stimulating and makes this game different from all other RTS games. Finally, the combat: The combat is truly epic and fun. Every character has their own unique moves which means you never get bored when playing the four different characters in the game. Each character has a strong, fast, counter and special attack. Combining such attacks will lead to more devastating moves. Using your character (Hero) can really turn the tide of battle and the majority of the game involves around using them and commanding troops, all at the same time! The story keeps you gripped as you play through it. You get to experience the story from the four characters who each have different perspectives on the war that the story revolves around. This makes the game more unique since the characters actually have personalities that you will either love or hate. The time has come to take up arms..will you go to war?
