Ya, sure sucks to be Europe and Australia. Also I want to point out, NateNgn, you DON'T need any additional hardware nor software to watch dvds on the 360. Now if you were talking about HD-DVD's then yes, you need to buy a $200 (not $300) however, unlike the ps3, you are not forced to nor need the newer disc media player to play games on the console. I would also like to comment on the hogging the games comment you said. Do you understand why developers are willing to stay exclusive to the 360? Money, both from microsoft and the fact that the 360's in homes outnumber the ps3's by at least 9 million. People did get pissed at microsoft when they bought out both Bungie and Rare years ago just so you know. Also, Bigboss, the BC of the 360 was less of an issue to many people because microsoft didnt swear up and down the street for a year that it would be backwards compatible with all xbox games and nor did they tote it as one of the headlining features of their new console. Also, if you didnt notice, one of the chief complaints the above GS editors were complaining about is that the lack of the BC being hardware based DID NOT result in a price drop, instead its $200 + more expensive in Europe. Anyway, I feel sorry for all of you that are worked over by this news. It really sucks.
