Whats up everyone?  I believe my last post was over 2 years ago and after 3 replaced 360's and picking up 60K+ gamerscore points im still quite fond of my xbox360.  It did kinda let me down on reliablity, but i havent had to pay for a replacement yet. Whats in: Geometry wars 2, Dead Space, Rock Band 2 and Fable 2 as of late.  I have some concerns for Gears of War2 but im confident that a few updates will fix a few online problems.

Dead Space while not underrated by the media just doesnt seem to be getting the hype the game deserves.  Its a bit short but the storytelling and atmospheric enviornments come together to make a realistic, creepy, deepspace thrillride.  Theres a decent collection of weapons each with an alternate fire but, whats quite clever is most of your weapons are actually mining tools.  Armor, weapons, and skills are all upgradable and leveling everything up fully will take more than one playthrough.

Rock Band has had quite the success. The past year it collected a true sequel and an expansion pack plus adding new music weekly.  RB2 set list didnt have me overly thrilled.  Having some songs i love and others frankly i hated.  But the new online world tour and online challenge events make for alot more fun.

Titles im interested in playing include: Banjo-Kazooie, NFS Undercover, Mortal Kombat Vs DC Comics, Last Ramient, Tomb Raider Underworld, Prince of Persia, Fallout 3, Call of Duty WaW, Farcry 2, Silent Hill: Homecoming, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge, Saints Row2, Tales of Vesperia, Castle Crashers, Braid, Soulcaliber IV.  Short list not to include what im already playing.  

So i started this console war hating on PS3 and all about 360 with not much to say about Wii. Now that they are all coming up on their one year anniversary (save 360.) I have completley changed my thoughts. For the record I currently own a 360 and Wii but have spent decent time playing PS3 and friends.

I'll start with PS3. PS3 has some decent games, the problem being if you own a 360 I have played most qualitly games with exception of Resistance, Warhawk, Motor Storm, Ninja Giden Sigma and Tekken 5. Thats a good fighter, shooter, action, and flight fighter. The problem is neither is amazing. Now 360 had GRAW and Oblivion before Gears. Oblivion is multiplatform now but the time exclusive was huge. Gears took a full year to come out. PS3 is coming up on one year and some promising games have already been pushed back to 2008. Rachet and Clank, UnrealTourny 3,and Drake all have system buying material written all over it to me but time will tell.

However, if you bought a PS3 and didnt pick up a 360 your looking at multiple good games that were released on both systems. I believe that once one of the Gears caliber game comes out PS3 will explode and may even get my money. Until this happens however i believe sales with stay mediocre. If AAA games continue to get delayed, I believe the ps2 owners may start to convert to MS.

Wii... I want to like Nintendo's new system but theres many questions on my mind. Will they make a control scheme that hardcore and old school nintendo fans will like? I could not enjoy Zelda because of the repetativeness of the slashing. Metriod i havent played but i have my hopes up. Wii's continued "intutive" controls have me wondering if this system is going to be worthless to me. I dont want to excercise on my gaming system i want to game. Is it necessary to put out multiple "party" games on the system. Im flustered about my wii purchase up to now.

So now after having 360 for a few months, playing through all my launch titles, playing hours of XBLA, my intitial thoughts?  First im a little disappointed that microsoft didnt pick up enchanted arms for north american release yet.  I heard great things about the japenese Rpg and that one new next-gen title could of won over atleast a couple sony fan boys and the longer they wait the closer the ps3 will come out.

Ok so i blurted it out as a one time serious sony fan i want microsoft to win this next-gen battle. Why you say?  I hate sonys video game durability.  3 ps2s during a 5 year period seems crazy to me when i had 1 xbox and 1 gc.  Not to mention sonys "market strategy" of over hyping their systems to be something they are not
