Okay, I'm going to make a list of games that I don't like, that review sites, magazines and the general gaming community seem to be very fond of. These are in no particular order.
1: Mass Effect
Honestly, I couldn't stand it for long. It's boring and hardly redeems itself after a long patch of less than thrilling events. The characters are the only good quality about it for me.
2: Fallout 3
I can't get my head around why everyone is so in love with it. When I was reading about it I was really looking forward to experiencing it for myself, but I couldn't have been more disappointed. It feels empty, boring, slow, and strangely unfinished to me. Poor effort in my opinion.
3: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Oblivion and Fallout 3 are far too similar, and really feel like a copy & paste job but obviously with new environments and a makeover on character models. In both, the customisability is (strangely) good, yet bad. It's difficult to describe, but there's definitely something missing in it.
4: Grand Theft Auto (All)
I seriously can't see the point in making so many of these games. They're all very similar to each other, the gameplay is repetetive and the storyline never does anything for me. The freedom is good, but it wears very thin for me in a short amount of time.
5: Need For Speed (All)
The first time you play a racing game you're likely to enjoy it, especially with a few mates. But when all the NFS games turn out to be the same thing but with updated menus and a gentle graphical update, it becomes very disappointing.
So that's it, my 2 cents right there. Remember, these are my OPINIONS and are not aimed to offend anyone in any way. It's just how I feel about these games. If you're butthurt, shove your complaints where the sun doesn't shine.
