So the level's title is Snake Eater.....oh well...guess I will have to go find some snakes to eat while having fun with Portal 2....do the snakes from Haribo count?!

Well, it seems that will have to find another saying for the word never, because Duke Nukem Forever will be released. Maybe we'll have the demo before xmas this year :P

Damn...finally got to level 29. why so happy? cause ever since I've played that crappy bionic commando game I really go nuts whenever I see those two words togheter. I hope I won't get the chance to play a **** Radiant Silvergun game.

First of all, what is with all of these 10-year-ps3-life threads? Why is 10 years so hard to believe? Because Microsoft did a poor job with the original Xbox and let it last only 4 years? When the Xbox 360 came out, ps2 still dominated the market, even though it was 5-6 years old and now with the ps2 being 7 years old and still selling strong, ps3 is just starting up and everyone is already talking about the next consoles? They are not even close.

Ok, now that I got that out of my system... below, I have compiled a list of the biggest arguments I hear about the ps3:
1. there are no good games out
2. it's so expensive
3. ps3 hardware is uber-****ty
4. it will overheat
5. haha sony can't keep it's exclusive titles, they must suck
6. PSN is not xbox live
7. sony couldn't include rumble, they must suck
8. xbox 360 has better graphics
9. blu-ray is not necessary and/or it sucks
10. halo is god
Now, upon further inspection of these arguments, it appears that most of them are xbox-fanboy-based. Honestly, and I have no idea why, it seems that this generation is filled with extremely biased people. Most of which reside on the Microsoft side of things but I really see no reason for their bias, other than "360 rulez, PS3 sux0rz!"

So let me expand on these 10 arguments, and see what we come up with.
1. There are no good games out
what about the ps2 when it launched? The Xbox 360 when it launched? Those took well over a year before they finally took off. Actually, this is a whole other topic in itself. But I will say that my ps3 has been getting some pretty extensive play time.

Although, a quick point to be noted... the really really good games won't be out right when the console is released. Look when ps2 was released, versus when it's top AAA titles were released (GoW, DMC3, MGS3, SotC, etc.). Quite a gap, eh? and these were the games that the 360 was competing with when it was released. Interesting.

2. It's so expensive
why is $600 such an unreasonable price for everybody? It's not that much more than a 360, and offers much more features. Again, everybody has already done the HD-DVD add-on comparison, so it's not necessary for me to point out any of that. But my main point I'd like to make is that (at least to me) the Xbox 360 never really seemed like a "next-gen" system. It was like they just made an Xbox with better graphics, and... Well, that's about it. PS3 included better graphics, Bluetooth, blu-ray, sixaxis, built-in hard drive, built-in wireless network adaptor, rechargeable controllers (without having to use batteries)... so, what is the big deal? I think the PS3 is one hell of a beast, if you ask me.

3. Ps3 hardware is uber-****ty
this one I have never understood. If I recall, the Xbox 360 has the highest failure rate of any console ever. the ps3 failure rate is extremely slim. Also, look at how the PS3's motherboard looks compared to the 360's motherboard (a google search will easily find these pics).

4. It will overheat
this one, again, I don't get. I have not yet heard any cases of the PS3 overheating. That's not saying that it hasn't happened, but just that it's not prominent enough to become common knowledge. The PS3 does run rather hot, and actually increases the temperature in my room, but I am also told that the Xbox 360 does the same and it is also louder.

5. Haha Sony can't keep it's exclusive titles, they must suck
when it comes to money, no one will win against Microsoft. It's as simple as that. Desperation kicked in when the GTA4 exclusive 360 content deal was struck. But now rockstar is likely kicking themselves in the asses. Shortly after, they announced a new PS3-exclusive IP. I see this trend forming as devs realize the 360's power will be maxed out soon.

6. PSN is not Xbox live
no it's certainly not, but it's free and it's constantly improving. The PSN store is not exactly great, and I personally hate the layout/navigation, but Sony isn't just sitting on their asses. They are actually listening to the people and giving them what they want (at least as much as they can). Many complaints have been addressed and fixed (background downloading, etc), and they are still working on others. There has also been an abundant increase in demos as of late.

7. Sony couldn't include rumble, they must suck
ignoring the immersion issue, this particular subject has made me realize that no matter what Sony does, people will complain. First, everyone **** and complained that the PS3 controller did not have rumble. And why shouldn't it have rumble? The 360 does. The wii does and the PS3 doesn't. Wow, the PS3 sucks now cuz it doesn't have rumble. What a lame "next-gen" system.

Fast-forward to 2007, Sony announces that it will include rumble once again. Great news, right? Wrong. Now, rumble is so "last-gen" and no one wants it. uh, wtf? Are you people serious? get a ****ing life and find something else to **** about.

8. Xbox 360 has better graphics
I'm not getting into specs, or game comparisons. 360 has some **** good graphics, and the PS3 has some **** good graphics. This is all based upon the developer. First party games for each system look amazing, because they are developed solely for that system. comparing 3rd party games... the 360 has been around longer, so most developers are creating a game for 360 then porting it to PS3. And as we all know, ports are rarely as good as or better than the original. I think this will change within the next 2 years.

9. Blu-ray is not necessary and/or it sucks
everyone knows that DVD is the future. With this technology, we can store extremely lengthy games such as Gears of War and Grand Theft Auto IV. (end sarcasm). This actually has been the main reason I haven't bought a 360. I'm seriously concerned about developers' ability to store these massive next-gen games on a DVD. it has been stated by the MGS4 creator that there is no way he could make the game without blu-ray, and even rockstar complained about its development constraints (360's lack of HDD and disc space) while working on GTA4. I predict that within the next 2 years, many developers will realize this and state something along the lines of "...oh... well, ****."

and on a side note... even if blu-ray doesn't win the "HD format war" who cares? It is a hell of a lot bigger than DVD, and is a great gaming format.

10. halo is god
I bought an Xbox specifically for halo. I loved that game, I thought it was just the greatest. Then I bought the collector's edition of halo 2. I loved that game as well. But toward the end of it, and after I finished it, I felt a little disappointed but I wasn't exactly sure why. I finally realized that it was because I spent $400 on a system just for 1 series. All of the other games that were multi-platform, I purchased for the PS2 because I liked the controller better (that, and my Xbox started giving me "disc read" errors).

Now insert halo 3 to the picture. You have rabid fanboys that will eat your face off if you give halo 3 a review score of 9.5 when it clearly deserves a 12/10. These kinds of people alone have made me actually not care one bit about halo 3. It seems that halo 3 has more hype around it than any game that has ever been announced. But this time around, I just don't care.

Then people will also say that halo 3 will sell systems and bury the PS3. Well, in my opinion, most halo fans already own a 360. This, again, goes back to the aggressiveness I spoke of earlier. They want to see the PS3 die, so they purchased a 360 when it came out. Then they also purchased the 360 elite, to get the best halo 3 experience.
Holy **** I just typed a lot. Hopefully this at least makes sense to people. Nothing will ever stop the fanboy vs. fanboy war, but this is just what I see happening.

If anyone has counter-arguments for any of these points, please add them to the discussion. But if your arguments are nothing but 12-year-old-like "PS3 SUX" or "360 are gay comments, please keep them to yourself.

The Halo themed XBOX360 was announced today at the E3 Microsoft Conference. To be honest this doesn't surprise me that much since i've been expecting something related to Halo to be launched since there are so many Halo addicted players out there and Halo is the game for which many people buy the X360. I have nothing against the console from M$ except the fact that it has some problems with the way it's built, c'mon now buying a 400$ console and the CPU cooler being loose, that just sucks

I just tooked a look at the GTA IV screens....is it just me or the city is the same eternal city from GTA III only redesigned?

After months of waiting i finally got my hands on a PS3...the console is simply amazing...the controller is much lighter than the PS2 one and after 12 hours of gameplay i wasn't forced to let it charge(i haven't charged the controller not event the first time) :) Another cool thing is that u don't have to get up from bed to turn on or off the console.About the graphics that the console delivers let me just say it's mind blowing....It's so good not having to worry about cables anymore and to enjoy the graphics...Guess you are wondering what i've played, the answer is Motorstorm...The only thing that bothers me is that Playstation Store is not available in Romania so I can't download HD videos or game demos
