I got it a few days ago and I think its great so far. There are some pretty good user made tracks already and multiplayer is fun but laggy.Â

I just got Red Dead Redemption a couple weeks ago, it took me awhile to get to it but damn it's awesome.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway had pretty damn good gore. The slo-mow kills were usually pretty intense.
Anyone have any tips on adjusting the network smoothing factor? My ping is always around 24ms but the ragdolls are like watching a slideshow, everything else is smooth. I have fiddled with it and it's better but still not great.
Just to add to what everyone else is saying, yes the series is awesome. However, if you can't tolerate the ps1 graphics you could pick up Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes for the gamecube and have decent graphics with the same story.
A new syphon filter game would be amazing. I loved the first 2, never played the 3rd. I've blocked the ps2 games from my memory lol.
I wish my wife played games like that. The only game I can get her to play is LittleBigPlanet 2.
I would say to go for Bulletstorm, it was a blast to play but it is pretty short and really linear. I played Rage on PS3 and found it to be pretty boring.
PC gaming is still the best whenever its an option. I love my console though for blu-rays, netflix, and playing some pretty awesome exclusive games. I will admit though that everytime I play a game on console then play the much nicer looking PC version, I remember why PC is so much better.

The exact reason that I have a PS3 to go along with my pc. They compliment each other well.
I've had the game since the middle of November and haven't even loaded up the singleplayer campaign nor do I intend to anytime in the near future.
