*Sorry for second post.. the first one bugged out (??) and I can't delete it, edit it, or view it.

I need some help.

Comcast (inb4 hate... gotta love monopoly) has given us a free router / modem combo for the past 2 years... The modem hasn't given any issues whatsoever but the router craps itself and gets flooded with connections whenever I try to load games (Anything source, bf2, cs 1.6, etc)

After googling for months I pretty much came up with nothing.. as the router just isn't made to handle all of those connections at once (Its a cheepie $20 netgear)

So - Do I go to comcast and pick out a new free router and return this one OR do I just buy my own router? I am pretty sure comcast has nothing nice as its all either cheap or old stuff.

If I WAS to buy my router what would you recommend? I am hardwired to it but there are other people I live with that need the wireless... I just want something easy, reliable, and somewhat cheap (Under $100)

I'm assuming you've played it before.. what kind of system you got and what kind of FPS you getting?

I don't want to buy a game, no matter how good it is, that doesn't run well on my computer.

Let me build your next PC for you and I will use quality parts that will last.

Its all together now... I'm just trying to figure out what I did... It isn't turning on (no fans, no beeps, anything) so I am assuming that I either A- Plugged the power switch into the wrong area or B- shocked it... I doubt I shocked it as I handled it on wooden floors with a static wristband, though.

That's because Hp doesn't want you to switch your components into a new case! They want you to buy a new computer all together! Most of these motherboards in the prebuilt HP, Dell, Gateway desktops are proprietary which means that you can only move them to another HP case or you would just have to buy another computer all together. Stinks like skunk doesn't it? Perhaps you can buy a new motherboard, they are fairly cheap (around $60).

Go to the hardware store, Get a metal drillbit, size 1/8th inch and drill out the center of the screw/pin thats givingyou trouble, Just did this an hour ago to my prebuilt to get it into a new case!

I got it out and it loosened itself eventually.

I then went to the store and got the smalled screwdriver (shortest) I could fine to get the hard drive out. I've managed to get every screw (of 4) EXCEPT for the last one which they give you a grand total of about an inch and a half to worth with.

I've been sitting here for the past hour trying to unscrew it and it isn't happening... pain in the butt. I'm SO glad I'm done with prebuilts after this... How did you get yours out?

(Copying this from another tech forum.. they couldn't seem to help me)

Hey... Posting from a friend's computer right now.

I am currently in the process of switching my computer into a new case (first time doing this ever) with a new videocard... Everything is out and I started putting some stuff into the new case (PSU, Optical Drive)... I have one problem

I've unscrewed everything from the motherboard in its current case... Everything is looking good except for one corner screw 2 inches below a giant metal media bay cage.

It doesn't look like a screw... it looks like a little cross with push pins or something but on the other side its flat metal as if it was almost welded in.

How the f*** am I supposed to take the motherboard out? I was also having trouble taking the hard drive out (as theres VERY little room) but I'm pretty sure I could do it once the mobo is gone.

The computer I'm working on is an HP m8430f and the otherboard is an ASUS IPIBL-LB

Could anyone help me out? Any tips? Tricks? Has anyone done this before?

The back of the case has a flat, black / grey, shiny circle on it

The picture is the screw itself... its the best pic I could get
