@partybro The game has gotten constant patches and is much improved since then. It has now the biggest e-sports presence, and is one of the most played games in the world. It would be weird if someone wants to try the game now and wants to check out the gamespot review and sees a old review that is no longer relevant. I agree however re-reviewing games should be kept to a minimum but in this case its very justified.

@feared4power @Leeric420 Exactly, now its popular and is one of the highest revenue generating games in the world. Why would they pay gamespot when its original score of 6.0 didn't deter it from becoming one of the most popular games in the world?

@buccomatic @acelogan1989 I never played guild wars 1, how can I be a fanboy? and yes, I like giving people who deserve it my money, and that wouldnt be WoW which was great at first and now didn't have new content for 10+ months and is now butchering up the rich warcraft Lore. Not playing contentless WoW for 1 year = Guild wars 2 + Borderlands 2.

@TenraiSenshi @Crimson_Erskine Its not about affordability, WoW for example didn't have a content patch for 10+ months, I wouldn't give them $1 if they don't deserve it. If starbucks charge $6 for a regular coffee I can still afford it everyday but I wouldn't think they deserve the money so won't give it to them.

@Pierce_Sparrow Do you feel intelligent at reading the twitter feed and copy pasting the EXACT thing? and no, saying its also my opinion isn't a valid defense, you are not contributing anything constructive by copy/pasting the article in the comment section.

Btw, I am disappointed with the twitter feed of the gaming journalists. It seemed like one massive circle-jerk. I think they should have just stopped it after finding out everyone had the same opinion, I was expecting a mature debate, what I got was "omg its art, bioware caved in to pressure".

I do not know why ALL THE PEOPLE who didn't like the ending got lumped up in the same category. I, for one, did not like the ending, and thats that, I am entitled to my opinion. I do not think Bioware is obligated to change the ending. EDIT : oh I lol'ed at all that talk about "Artistic Freedom". Good one bro, Mass Effect while being a great game, sacrificed many of its RPG elements to appeal to mass gamers, I don't think it can be called art, its more a business decision.

@FredWallace18 No, in that its poorly written, it can be summed up as "Video games are art, and art shouldn't be changed" extended over 400-500 words. This will never get published in any magazine such as Forbes or Time, and as a UIniversity assignment will be graded around B- AT MOST. But I guess video gaming journalism has low standards.

Reads more like a forum post than an actual professional article.
