Dude, the slowdown in Wind Waker HD will be really annoying then lol. It's pretty baffling that it's there at all, but it mostly seems to happen when you kill too many enemies out at once and there's a lot of explosions at once (or if you let off too many bombs at once).

Uh, no, I never got around to Xenoblade X. I think by that point I had sort of checked out of actually caring much for the Wii U. @darkspineslayer did, though, and he apparently swears by it.

Damnit. Guess I'll have to reign in Link's homicidal tendencies. :(

That's fair enough. I'm only tentative about starting it because I know it's a long fucking game.

Yeah, Twilight Princess just feels like there are all these parts for an amazing experience on the table, but they never quite come together. Wind Waker, on the other hand, seems to be missing some of those parts, but it makes do with what it has to become a damn good game anyway.

TPHD is the definitive version, though. You don't have to put up with the waggle, and you still get widescreen and multiple hotkeys support.

It was a good port. The slowdown in Gamepad mode was disappointing though since it was my main way of playing. Not that it happened too often.

Did you play Xenoblade Chronicles X? I was thinking of starting that too. I've had it shrinkwrapped in my collection for months. :>

@Slashkice: I loved TPHD when I replayed it, except... well, no part of that game except for the dungeons really stands out lol. The graphics are bland, it lacks the charm and personality of the previous (and later) games, the story jumps off a cliff once Zant's true motives are revealed, the soundtrack is my least favorite...

Wind Waker is the exact opposite on the other hand, lol

Can't disagree with that. I liked the dungeons, though it sucked you had pretty much zero use for the dungeon's item once you left. The side content just sucked. I didn't care for Link's friends and I was hoping the orcs killed them, but the little bastards survived. The stakes in general never felt very high actually. Link's side bitch had amnesia and Hyrule Castle was quarantined, but aside from that things seemed fine in Hyrule. Like in Ocarina of Time, you had zombies roaming around and Kakariko burning. The future clearly needed saving. You never got the same feeling of urgency in Twilight Princess.

But yeah, the dungeons were nice and the game didn't make me want to kill myself like Skyward Sword so there's that.

You're back! :D

Speaking of Zelda, you picking up BotW?

Yeah, but probably not at launch. I just finished Twilight Princess HD and I want to tackle Wind Waker HD next.

Adventure Time is a surprisingly good Zelda clone.

$0.99 well spent. :3

I loved it. I would have liked harder puzzles, but just having the classic RE gameplay back was great.

PS+ justifies its cost to me with the games on offer each month. Nintendo's deal pales in comparison so they're not getting my money.

Only Horizon really has my interest, but I don't see myself grabbing it at launch.

These days I find shorter games more appealing. A long game means that shit isn't getting finished for months. I'm more selective with games now if they have a long playtime. I just don't have the time to invest in 100+ hour adventures knowing I can finish 6-7 games in the same timeframe, unless it's something I'm dying to play like Persona 5.
