Reasons why I purchased a Xbox and got rid of my PS2 games:
-Weak PS2 games coming out - I wasn't interested in any games that were coming out for the PS2, most of which were not what I liked to play. Even though there were a lot of games to choose from, I began to slowly lose interest.
-PS2 Online Multiplayer - The games I had in my PS2 library I truly wanted to play online, but since PS2's online system required companies to put in a extra effort to make their games online (which meant Sony didn't support companies to put their games online), most PS2 games didn't have online multiplayer.
-Xbox Live Online Multiplayer - Not a thought at the time, but truly a defining moment in a console gamer's life lol. $50 a year for over 300 games to choose from online. Since Xbox is supported by Microsoft, game companies can work with Xbox Live to make their games online, which is a benefit for us gamers of course. In my opinion online multiplayer is a must have for a video game, what better way to make the game last longer? It's just too fun to play with friends and people online. Great player services and games, truly destroys any other system's attempt at online multiplayer (PS2, Gamecube).
-Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic only for Xbox - Yes sir. The ultimate Star Wars game for the Star Wars fan. One of the best action rpgs I've ever played. lol I don't even have this game anymore, but I plan to get it back.
-Halo Combat Evolved - One of the funnest if not the best game to play offline in a console lan party, and pretty much revolutionized offline console lan gaming itself. I could say this is the first game ever to bring me into Xbox along with Knights of the Old Republic.
-Fighting games - The PS2 and Xbox have some rad fighting games. Ultimately though in the future I would notice none of these awesome fighting games on the PS2 would ever come online, and soon Sony of America would deny production of most 2D fighting games for their console. Sony are asses when it comes to fighting games. Most if not all Xbox fighting games are online and they graciously accept 2D fighters into production.
still convinced I made the right choice.
