I have seen other users combine their banners with the blog header but I have never seen the avatar used as well so I decided to play around with that and see what I could come up with. I took the TX from Terminator 3,( Kristanna Loken  ) reversed the image and cut it up. I thought the caption is amusing but if you haven't seen the movie you probably don't get it. Right before she steals peoples stuff (and of course brutally slaughters them) she would say, in a very flirtatious way, "I like your car" or "I like your gun" or something like that. I thought it was funny. I only plan on keeping it until I think of a better image to use but who knows how long that will be. ;)
Level up! whoo hoooo!
I'm happy to be past Defias Brotherhood. I understand that a World of Warcraft reference is a must have due to the undeniable impact it had/has on gaming in general but I still prefer the old school references and inside jokes in rank names. Cyber-Lip is a welcome change. If you don't know Cyber-Lip is an old side scroller for the Neo-Geo. As far as I know it was a pretty insignificant game (historically) but that does not mean it wasn't good. I loved those types of games on my SEGA and I still play Strider now and then. They both came out at about the same time.
More Loot! YAY!
I got some more very cool DVD goodies so I thought I would post another pic. The two big ones I'm so very, very pleased with are Blade Runner and Bond.
That's every single bond film on the right. That includes Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again. 22 movies total. On the left is The Blade Runner limited edition box set with enough stuff for an entire blog's worth of pictures. It has all 3 previous versions of the movie and one new re-mastered directors cut (again). What it has that I have always wanted but was only available in bootleg is the original theatrical version with Harrison Fords voice over. It has other stuff like a die cast flying police car, artwork, and of course the cool box. The rest is less expensive but still noteworthy stuff that I wanted and am very thankful to have received.
James Bond Ultimate Edition box set Vol.1-4 + Casino Royale.
Never Say Never Again.
Blade Runner 5 disc Ultimate Collectors Edition box set.
The Naked Gun.
The Naked Gun 2 1/2 The Smell of Fear
The Naked Gun 33 1/3 The Final Insult
King Kong (1976)
Apollo 13 special edition. This one has the Imax experience thing on it and I have been wanting a copy with that on it.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force season 5
Hitman (the movie) I watched this and it was great. I may blog about it later.
On the gaming front I FINALY finished Rainbow six Vegas (1) last night and I must say I got my moneys worth. It was a blast (no pun intended.) It seems like I have been playing this game forever and that's because I almost have. I bought this game new in January 2007 and let it sit on the shelf for 3 months. Big mistake because the price came down to $19.99 shortly after that and so I basically just flushed twenty dollars down the toilet. To be perfectly honest I still have not gotten over it. I know it's only twenty bucks but it's more about me being impulsive and buying it when I had plenty of games and should have gotten something else. After letting it collect dust and depreciate I had video card problems and did not get the game going until sometime in April. I had a problem with a patch (I should have left it alone) and lost my save. I was mad and shelved it again. When I got my most recent laptop I loaded it up and used it to put the rig to the test and it handled it pretty well. I don't know why I never mustered the drive to finish it but I didn't. I fiddled around with it in-between games and played terrorist hunt for ten or fifteen minuets but never sat down and played. Well that changed and I started from scratch and got through the game pretty quick. I think I will keep it on my hard drive. It will probably take me another year to get through it on realistic difficulty. ;)
That's all for now.
