Like usual. GameSpot fails on a review to drive away people from a good game, you don't need to be a genius to understand how to survive in Dead Island it is about timing your attacks and using the most powerful weapons and modifications, they pulled this on the 1st Dead Island because the idiots that work here are brain-dead and expect a zombie game would be dumbed down and made so easy you don't need to try to survive. I pre-ordered this because I enjoyed Dead Island once I understood its about timing and know where to strike, everyone is entitled to they're opinions but I call bulls**t on GameSpot.
I'm not that big on DLC's I see them as a waste of cash (if they are good I might change my mind) if they want people to stay interested in the game release a couple DLC's that are free of charge, BioWare is still charging $39.99 for Awakening expansion pack for Dragon Age Origins 4 years later and its still buggy as hell. They want to ignore [Gamers] let them eventually the consumer/s will say enough I am tired of these "developers" ignoring us the consumer I'm going to spend my $60 else where. Bethesda made the mistake of making Skyrim a always-online game that doesn't offer co-op or/and multiplayer and I really don't see the point of Steam just to play a single-player game.
Saints Row 2 is still the best Saints Row, the third was a joke especially when they made a online pass for co-op $9.99 on psn and the dlc's were awful and a huge rip off. This Saints Row is a 100% terrible game already, Saints Row started out as a gangster game the 2nd only made it more fun. Saints Row 4 has killed a great franchise before release date.
I like the elder scrolls cause it isn't an online game. People don't got the money or time to deal with an online game anymore. The possibility this will be successful is 50% chance, the possibility this will be a fail 50% chance but going this route with an awesome series I think this is gonna be a big hype to a big fail not many people are online gamers anymore crap is expensive to play all online games are the same.
It has the stamp " EA " on it that's why. EA makes terrible games and ruins other companies that work for/with them, the 1st installment of a game is good playing, as the 2nd and 3rd installments they strip more and more stuff and sets it as DLC's for ridiculous prices. All your buying from an " EA " stamped game is graphics, story, and interactive movie. The gameplay stuff is sold as DLC's, look at EA and Bioware still charging $39.99 on Dragon Age Origins - Awakening in PS Store.
The whole thing about DLC's is true. Video games anymore are $60 for a disc with a half complete game and sell it as DLC's in parts for ridiculous prices, the reason I don't buy interactive movie-games and EA's games. I can talk about the problems with the video game industry all day. PS2 Rockstar made great games, PS3/Xbox360 they went real boring and too realistic, GTA IV was a complete let down. All your buying when these games come out are graphics, story, and lack of great fun.
@ArtDecoVeryNice I agree with you, who would spend $60 on a game that can't be played like a game? There are differences between the two and they're easy to understand but its hard to explain cause people are too sucked into the mess.
The reason they lie to gamers is too make cash on a trashed game. Companies have done this for years now, look at Dead Island everyone was hyped up and when they game came out it was terrible and just about all the pre-ordered games were returned and the consumers got full refunds. I try to tell everyone look more into the game before it comes out or wait til the game comes out and check out what the consumer says about about the game before you get it or check out the demos if they release a demo before purchase. I can go on about this for a while but the comments only allow 1500 characters.
