I went to gamestop today and on the shelves all the cases were opened and empty. When I brought it to the counter I asked if it was a new copy and he said yes. Then he took a disc out of a closet behind the desk and put it in the empty case. I told him I don't want it unless it's a new, sealed copy, which he said he didn't have.
My only other option is FYE. Does anyone know if FYE does the same thing as Gamestop does - sell opened games as "NEW"?
So I just got back from a Gamestop store. I wanted to buy a NEW copy of the game Saints Row for 360. The copy he tried to sell me was one he claimed was new, but yet it was in a little sleevelet in a closet area and not in the open case that he wound up putting it inside. I asked him if they had any new SEALED copies of the game and he said no. Needless to say I'm somewhat confused as to why anyone would pay full price for an open game that is supposedly "new" when they could get an open game that is "used" for cheaper.
Regardless, I didn't buy the game from Gamestop and I was wondering if I should even bother trying FYE. Does FYE do the same thing - sell opened games as "NEW"? I know for a fact Best Buy sells sealed games but unfortunately they are sold out of Saints Row.
I got the more expensive premium version but Imay have been better off without it. It came with a lot of stuff I don't even use like the headset and the remote control. The only thing I use is the hard drive, and I can't honestly say that I have so much stuff downloaded that I even need it. If you don't think you'll be downloading a lot of games and videos, you won't need the hard drive. And of course you can always buy one later on if you run out of memory. As far as buying a refurbished one, I always prefer to buy new, but if the refurbished one comes with the same length warranty as a new one, I'd recommend you buy the refurbished one to save money.
I wasn't expecting that to be very good but I must admit that was funny as hell.
The only thing I noticed, though,is there is a typo when he said "of" instead of "have". Hey, what can I say, I'm an English stickler.
