Time to elaborate on what happended on the 26th.
After the concert was over, I was on my way to bring my friend back to her dorm. I went the wrong way on accident, which didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but in the grand scheme of things really screwed me over. After turning around and heading in the right direction, I say, "It's real fun to go the way out of the way when you're extremely low on gas!" At which point we had a conversation about time we or people we have know ran out of gas. Foreshadowing. Up the freeway 4 miles was our exit. As I veered into the exit lane, my speed started dropping steadily and my car started to stall, it had happened, I was out of gas. When my car came to a halt in the middle of the offramp, I was dissapointed to see that there was gas station at the end of the onramp. Had I not gone the wrong way in the first place, this whole mess would have been avoided. I originally planned on gassing up after I dropped her off. So we journey 150 feet to the gas station and grab a gas can and two bucks worth of gas (not even a gallon at this point) and head back. I put the gas into my car, with expectations of starting my car and rolling into the gas station to fuel up. Wrong, my car still didn't start. So back to the gass station for another near-gallon of gas. On the way out we see a tow truck, with my car on back of course. So we wave the truck down and he stops. He explains that I would just have to pay a fifty dollar drop charge, which is better than whatever the impound fee would have been. At this poit the cop that requested that my car be towed, pulls up and askes for my license. Wearily I hand him my license, knowing it is expired. He takes her license too. After he goes back to his car to check things out, he comes back and tells me that my license is expired and that I can not drive, so my friend has to drive now. I'm just glad I didn't get a ticket for driving with an expired license. I acted as if I didn't know that I couldn''t do that, even thought I knew I couldn't. Anyways, the cop leaves, I put the rest of the gas in my car, and rolled into the gas station and filled the tank. After turning what should have been a ten minute drive into an hour and a half hassle, I dropped her off and was on my way home.
Fun stuff eh??
