ur right! I make floating bases all the time and there is one other way to do it but it requires patience. You hold up the object in forge mode and then click start and save changes the right after that end the game. Then the object u were holding is in the place u want it to be. This is helpful because then instead of making it flat it can be standing up on a corner or floating slanted. But i think it only works in the new maps.(heroic and legandery)
