[QUOTE="toast_burner"][QUOTE="SolidSnake35"] Unless the view should be forced, as are the views on murder, rape etc.SolidSnake35
Well having an abotion and murdering/raping someone are completely different things

Murder and theft are different things, but we still force the views that murder and theft are wrong on people. I don't think abortion should be considered permissible just because it's not the same as murder.

I hate this board because im so much older and more experienced than everyone else it seems.

My ex girlfriend farted a fetus in a toilet as a miscarriage. How do you deal with that one? The religious approach is god wanted it to happen... why is god killing your children? seems like a crappy god.

The science approach is miscarriages happen to a certain portion of the population, and a fetus is just a conglomeration of cells.

So if science is wrong and its not an unconscious being, why did god kill my child? Ive never actually done anything very bad in life, always tried to be nice to others.

You gotta be pretty darn confident to be pro life, amirite?

I figure there are 2 basic positions.....

If i wasnt born... the world would be much worse without me. (pro-life)

or

If I wasnt born... the world would be fine without me (pro-choice)

IF i was aborted the net result would probably be i annoy less people on forums.... everyone would prolly be better off if i was aborted. Guess im the pro choice poster boy. Maybe ill even convert a few guys once they think about how seriously annoying i am.

locopatho

How are you supposed to decide if an unborn person deserves to live or die?

statistics, genetic testing.... plenty of clues to go off of.

If some lady was pregnant by a husband she didnt know... and her child was genetically prone to violence and abuse, and of very low intelligence. She is in college and would have to abandon her degree to have the child... is it worth it to abandon her careeer to make the next star of a horror movie?

Wow! That is the most arrogant post I have ever seen.

late to the party, but i do emplore you to try any reasoning outside of "the bible told me so" and see if you actually have a point at the end of the day. Ive always been considered advanced math and science since apparently i was scouted when i was 10 and forced into advanced classes. We will see if you can actually make a logically sound point.

Why would I reference the buy-bull, I'm not even christian!?!?! Your inability to string a sentence together makes your claims doubtful, at best.

Thats why SATs have 2 differrent sections... one is based on logic and reasoning... the other is based on how many words you know the definition of.

Culture is built upon what is passed down from previous generations, you may as well argue that its wrong to pass on genes to the next generation as it is to pass on physical items.

People often work hard in order to build something for their children, you would say this is not deserved?

tenaka2

Probably not. In evolutionary terms, i pass on my genes because i can beat the crap out of your genes... not because somewhere down the line you had a rich uncle. If im bigger and stronger, my genes pass, not yours.

EDIT: personally i would stick to more ideology, gonna beat you on science and math at every turn. My opinions are heaviily backed by science and mathematical principles. You cant win on those fronts... unless you are a MIT grad or something....

honestly though, a 3% tax increase on people making over 250k a year is about the same as robbing 50,000 poor people of food. But a real american would never pay 3% more in taxes to help tens of thousands of amercans.

Oh thats right, thats what shared sacrififce means.... its not just dumping on poor people.

SUD123456

Well, I am not an American. But I would personally be ok with a 3% tax increase if my money was going to be directed to useful programs aimed at those that need them.

One of the great problems of the system though is that taxes go into general revenues and you can't really be certain what you get for them.

As well, you seem to have this bizarre believe that rich people have no humanity. However, despite all its flaws the US has a very high charitable contribution rate and the relatively wealthy donate the most.

Perhaps they are giving that 3% back in another way, which they find to be more direct and meaningful. Food for thought.

Poor people actualy donate a larger percent of their income to charity than the rich.... then again its mostly due to religion... which is basically a propoganda campaign, as they are more concerned with building mega churches, than actually helping people.

Most rich people only donate for the tax writeoff... there are the occasional warren buffets and bill gates that actually give a damn (dirty liberals)... but for everyone of them there are the koch brothers (business oriented republicans) that only concern themself with buying politicians and increasing their personal wealth (real americans).

I'm (almost) a vegitarian but I enjoy food as long as I can stomache it. I got a weird situation with meat, I find I suddenly don't want to eat it, but then sometimes I can. I have to trick my mind into thinking it's not meat, which is easy to do with burgers or sausages, or if it's sliced or diced into very small sections and curried. If it's too meaty, too raw then I vomit as soon as it touches the roof of my mouth.

Oh and I love to cook pancakes.

Evil_Saluki

Thats called a diet... i hate fish, to the point where i would murder the entire sea if i could. But i ate canned tuna every other day.... gagging the entire time.... so technically i think im ready for gay porn.
