In my opinion I would say that an external HDD is your best option for backing up media. It allows you to keep it in a central location and it is always there when needed, since you'll most likely be uploading through the computer you'll be wanting to connect it to. Portable HDD's, would not be a good option in my opinion- if you are planning it to be your main backup drive. Now I could certainly see making copies of the media to a portable flash drive if you need to take it elsewhere and share. You certainly would not want to lose your main backup while carrying it around, this way if you carry a copy on your flash drive and happen to lose it just go back to your external and no biggie. As far as size is concerned, the 250GB should be plenty big for just plain pics and low resolution videos. If you happen to take high resolution pics/videos and perhaps use photo software to spiffy them up, then a bigger size is of course a no brainer. I would also take into consideration of the costs of each as well, it's all personal preference.

It is certainly a sound driver issue. I had the same problem earlier today when I installed it. Microsoft says that it is mostly caused by not having the most up to date drivers for that device before installing the Service Pack. It certainly does not help when you go to device manager to see if any device needs it's drivers updated and it returns a "It appears you have the latest driver for this device." Even after installing SP1, I went back into device manager to see if it could automatically find it and reinstall the up to date driver. It responds that you have the latest driver, so I had to go hunt down on the sound driver from ASUS' website. There are 2 options when needing to update your drivers - search the internet, or search locally. Of course if you have downloaded the driver, then search locally to the path you saved it to. If it still cannot find it on the off chance, just go in and run the setup.exe from the folder. You'll need to restart and you should be good to go.

I will definitely be picking up a copy after trying out the demo, I really like the option they give you to do a WASD move method as opposed to constantly clicking to move. The atmosphere the game provides is really amazing. Although I've only played the opening and the little glimpse of the first chapter that the demo provides, but if that is just a taste of what the full game includes it is certainly going to be a treat.

Well thats certainly good to know, now I won't keep expecting to see a Oddworld title on the next gen systems, lol. They were some hilarious games, so I actually look forward to see what they do in the animited movie business. Hopefully it was a good move on their part as there certainly hasn't been any news on what projects they are developing, and if that move was made in 2005 surely they would have some credible work to show for it you would think. Anyways, thanks for the reply.

I certainly used to play it a good bit back in the day. It was a pretty good community from what I experienced. Especially the beach storming/ capturing the documents objectives you described, certainly the most memorable multiplayer for me. Not sure how much the community for that game has grown or shrunk as I haven't played in a very long time.

I have not seen anything from Oddworld Inhabitants in awhile, I was curious if anyone has kept up with what they may be up to? I did notice that their sequel to Oddworld Stranger's Wrath was cancelled. I was a big fan of the first few games they made, that included a quirky main character called Abe. Not sure if anyone else out there has any fond memories of playing Abe's Exodus and Abe's Oddysee. If you have not checked out these games, I suggest you do so, even though they may be quite old it is still some great fun. I have been trying to keep up with what they are creating next but it seems they have dropped off the map, any insight from other fans would be appreciated.
