I definitely haven't been disappointed by the volume of games on VC. But then I see games like Virtua Figher 2 and Bravo Man, and I am absolutely bemused. Who considered titles like these to be classics again?
Otherwise, for the most part I'm ok with the selection that has been released. As expected, Nintendo is only sprinkling the REAL classics one by one--and why wouldn't they? If they are going to release all the classics at once the novelty will wear off much faster, as the collection of AAA games is by no means vast enough to provide for a sustainable online service. Also, I'm sure a lot of those games, while not excellente, bring back sweet memories to people. I sure as heck don't see Comix Zone as a perfect game, but I remember being greatly amused by the panel layout and crisp styling of the game when it first game out. A lot of people will by the borderline classics merely because of the nostalgia--you know, the sepia effect :)
As for prices, remember that VC games are a 1-up on the cart originals mostly because of their convenience. With the VC game, you can't lose them once you've bought them. Even if the game is deleted off your memory, or by some other means corrupted, you can simply re-download it because of Nintendo's one-time buy policy. And as for any service where you buy the product from home, the price is higher due to the convenience of not going to the store to make the purchase. I still think $8 is a bit high for any sega or nintendo games though.
