Jordan and Pippen played together for 9 seasons and won 6 titles

Shaq and Kobe played together for 8 seasons and won 3 titles(although Kobe was fresh out of High School and still developing his first few years).

I have to go with Michael and Scottie simply because both duos played together for almost the same amount of time and MJ and Scottie have twice as many rings.

I really don't think this is a big deal, these type of things happen from time to time a couple years ago Vince Young fought someone on the defense, Steve Smith broke Ken Lucas' nose in their fight, Vernon Davis and Manny Lawson fought once during a training camp, and all LeGarrete did was hit him once and the guy was even wearing a helmet. People are just making a big deal out of this because of his past.

[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"]Who says you need to practice to be a team player during contract talks? And there is a risk of injury no matter what, also he isnt worth 140, nobody is. He wants 160? LMAO! This guy is not worth that much, but surely not worth more than Peyton Manning or any other QB in the NFL. The limit should 120, but even that is too much.MoonMarvel

$160mil over 10yrs averages out to $16mil per year. Nnamdi Asomugha signed a 3 yr $45mil contract which averages out to $15mil per year. Idk about you but I feel Revis is better than Nnamdi, but at the same time I think the Raiders over payed Nnamdi because they're the Raiders. Champ Bailey is currently looking for a contract with an average of $12+ million which is why I say Revis (who I feel is better than Bailey) is worth $140mil ($14mil per year).

16 million per year is the 3rd highest in the NFL, higher than what Peyton Manning gets from what I found out. Eli gets about 16.25 million a year, there is no way Revis is worth near that! Yes Revis is better than Nnamdi, but Nnamdi is WAY overpaid. Bailey might get 12 a year, but even if you pay Revis more it should be only a tad more as Bailey has proven himself for years before Revis even got drafted. At best I would say 130 million. Higher than Champ but less than Peyton.

Peyton currently averages $14mil per year but he signed his contract six years ago (7yrs $98mil). Players make more money now a days, if Peyton does get his new contract sometime this season he'll end up averaging $17-18mil per year. Comparing Peyton's current deal to what Revis is trying get isn't fair since Peyton's contract is six years old, but I agree that $130mil should be enough for Revis.

There's no "i" in team.

And 120 million isn't enough? :|

MoonMarvel

True, there is no "i" in team, but why should Revis put the team ahead of himself? Leon Washington continued to practice/play while trying to workout a new contract and then he got injured. Neither the team or the organization was there for him and while I feel $160mil is probably a little bit too much I know Revis is worth at least $140mil.

I love how people are saying"well he's greedy thinking only about himself"

That's the only person he should be thinking about lol

"What's he going to do with all that money?"

He's going to spend it and invest it, I don't see anyone around here taking less at the job they're at

The way teams handle business in the NFL is funny. They expect players like Revis to be loyal and continue to play even though they out preformed their contract, but I can guarantee you that they'd either trade or release him if he played horrible the last 2 seasons. Maybe they should have gave Revis a new contract before they acquired an overrated CB (Cromartie) and a washed up RB (LT).
