I am not saying it is impossible for there to be a middle ground. I never said that and I fail to see where you got that notion. I am saying specifically that I reject the notion that a middle ground exists in matters of human rights. Either someone's person or property has been violated or it has not, and I am absolutely unwilling to be part of any compromise that involves a violation of someone else's person or property. I am saying that the problems that face us can only be solved through the voluntary interaction of freely acting individuals and that any attempt to initiate force, even for purposes that we can agree are positive, is inherently a contradiction. Someone's adherence to a moral principal - in this case nonaggression - has nothing to do with their intelligence. This is me applying the principal of nonaggression to the issues you're discussing. There can be no collective decision making in the realm of other people's property; I reject that premise as inherently aggressive and seek solutions that do not involve violence. My refusal to compromise and allow "some" aggressive violence in pursuit of whatever supposedly mutually beneficial end is not a reflection of my intellectual consideration of the matter nor the moral implications of the problems themselves.
"The Non Argession Principle" =/= non agression. Propertarians agree with the violence they agree with, the violence they don't notice.
