We are angry because we've spent decades being lied to by large companies, of dealing with terrible match making that forces us to waste time and effort among seemingly unless supply of casual gamers (or various levels of social ability). We are angry because of corruption in gaming journalism, blatantly paid off or incentive-driven reviewers acting like political lobbies and public relation committees for publishers. We are angry for the unique summed up experience that has taught all of us that exaggeration is the only way to get the attention of the movers and shakers.
You are of course free to voice your opinions and attempt to improve the community, but I can tell you the only reason most gamers bother to make a gamespot account is to vent and rage. Its a tough clientele you guys got and I don't blame anyone for getting frustrated, but considering the influx of young and immature kids using their parent's internet you will have, I wouldn't expect much change.
And this is coming from someone who quite frequently breaks the gamespot terms of use agreement.
@Ayato_Kamina_1 @Soviet330 Exactly, that's what it feels like. That hey, we need to put out a vaguely mass effect-y game so fans feel like we can still do things. Make a game and slap a logo on it, we're done. But we don't know if EVERYONE will buy into it, so lets start hyping it up two years out with vague references to how good its going to be.
NO. NO BIOWARE. Sit down, shut up. Do not hype this game without releasing any information about it at all. Seriously, what the ****. Nothing has been said to even partially justify the game at all, in yet over the last six months there's been sparatic articles about "how amazing its going to be." Prove something before you start hyping up the community over my favorite franchise Bioware is determined to ruin.
Idk, plenty of games with low ratings on this site are worth a look to a cult following. Though in this case it seems there are some serious issues in design and execution.
Not my fault you weren't old enough to remember the people who died over the PS3 release. Same thing will happen this time, it ain't going to be pretty, so take your balls out of mommy's purse and prepare yourself.
@RobDev @Soviet330 They made a big announcement that they would buy "every possible unit that could be manufactured" several weeks ago, then create a panic now. Its just bullshit, open your eyes.
