He could also go alone, but while he's taken on gun-wielding foes before, I'm sure human soldiers would pose more of an obstacle then G.U.N. robots.mariostar0001That sounds like fan-fiction :P It's supposed to, I'm not being entirely serious. :PYeah lets hope Sega won't be influenced by dumb storylines :P

[QUOTE="SuperfastSonic"]They also disliked Sonic Colors for having too many cut scenes or something like that.sonictrainer
Yet, there are people who want his games to have to good stories.
No matter what SEGA does, someone's going to be happy and someone's going to complain.
That's the same for every game that was ever made. We all have our opinions, some people will dislike, some won't. I hate Sonic Unleashed, but others like it. My point is, you don't need to care about people's comments to enjoy a game.Than he can go with a bayonet, those were still fairly common in said time period. [QUOTE="kbaily"][QUOTE="SpaceSword"][QUOTE="kbaily"]Black Knight was a clinic on how to bury a franchise. It's a miracle that they brought it back after that.[QUOTE="PyreofKoL"][QUOTE="chocolate1325"]There are some Sonic games that were destined to suck from the beginning like Black Knight.chocolate1325
I bought it from the GS bargain bin for like $9 or something and even if you sort of liked it, the entire game really has the air of something Sega just rushed out to make a few bucks on fans. Their misconception came from the surprsingly good sales of Secret Rings that sold well namely because audiences were happy to see the first "Sonic only" game in many many years as wel as it showed mostly gimmick free gameplay. Just Sonic running fast. And Sega instead of getting the idea that "hey people want to play a Sonic game with just Sonic running fast" they said "Hey they love the story idea, let's toss Sonic in Camelot and give him a sword because people don't react as violently to swords as they do guns."
But Black Knight represents the end of an era of the "Sonic fan game" really it felt like something the Shadow fans would've made as a bad fan fiction. It's only four hours long, you trade one set of waggly controls for another and they even put a fan art gallery in the game." But at most, it's only four hours long and once I finished it, I had no reason to want to play it again. Colors was only five hours but it felt more rewarding at the end of the day.
But it's bomb in sales was the best thing that could happen. It was the nail in the coffin for "story" driven, friend heavy, cock rocky, weapon based Sonic games. After that Sega got back to focusing on gameplay and giving the mainstream audiences what they want.
To be honest I think everyone was too harsh on the game. I think it was marketed toward kids, because a lot of kids apparently loved the game, and they will defend it at all costs :PStill just because something is geared at kids is not an excuse to not try. And Sega was coasting too long on that excuse for the poor quality of those games. I call it the "George Lucas Excuse" aka the excuse George Lucas uses when people say how much the Star Wars prequels and Jar Jar suck. He says "well kids like it."
The thing is the people that mainly bought this game were the newer audience and people who think these types of things like swords and guns are cool and belong in Sonic games.Yeah the next Sonic game will beSonic the Hedgehog: Modern Warfare, because kids love FPS :P

Mario is doing what Pokemon did after it started going to other regions, which was alienate me. Mario 64 was like Pokemon Gold and Silver. Greatest game ever in the franchise.mariostar0001
I diagree Super Mario Galaxy 2 was a godsend and the camera in 64 was a little broken to me
I hated Super Mario Galaxy 2. It was NOTHING like 64.
So? Since when does a game have to be similar to its previous titles to be any good?Yeah Mario Galaxy 2 had a level from Mario 64 :P . And the two games aren't that different, and I'm pretty sure Galaxy 1 had more gravitational affects then Galaxy 2 :?[QUOTE="SpaceSword"]If anything I think the Game Gear Games (Sonic Chaos, Sonic triple trouble) deserve to be more reconized. There not bad, and I usually play them if I feel like playing old school Sonic. Actually, does anyone remember Tails Adventures?? Yeah that game was awful.kbaily
Personally I liked Tails' Adventure, if anything it was one of the more admirable attempts to do something different and do a spinoff with a more Metroid/Zelda type of exploratory gameplay. At least it didn't get beat over with the angsty stick. (*coughShadowcough*)
Tails Adventure just felt too slow paced for me, yes there are worse, but Tails Adventure just hated me, and I will never forgive its password system :PBlack Knight was a clinic on how to bury a franchise.
