Got the game on Sunday, reached World 4 today. I'm addicted to the game thus far! It's awesome! I don't think I even want to beat it so fast!!!

The Old Days

I miss platformers.
I miss how I could run and jump on various odd-shaped platforms in large and highly detailed landscapes. I miss grassy, icy, fiery, rocky and watery terrain.
Too many games these days focus on bloodshed and shooting and whatever nonsense developers feel are bringing in the money.
When Mario Galaxy came out I pretty much felt like I haven't played a game like this since Super Mario 64. Now that's a video game.
I want adventure, and action mixed in. No blood! Well, it's not really that necessary but hell, enough of it.

The Brawl Is On!

Start Training!

Well, I've gone back to my old library of whatever remaining GameCube games and getting straight to work on honing my skills in hopes of Brawl's release- It's time to start shaping up, all of you who want to succeed! Get ready for the Brawl to end them all, or so they say... But anyway I'm working on my weaker areas such as successful dodging and catching items thrown at you which can really turn the tide in certain battles. I've also heard of some nifty techniques that can be done such as these insanely quick grabs - ow how in the right mind do people find these things? First it's wavedashing and now we have super grabs heh. Well I'm going to look into this a little bit more even though I prefer to play the normal way without any techniques that aren't mentioned in the game manual or website- I think I can hold my own. I don't know if it's me or what but I've noticed that Brawl's frame rate is a lot smoother than Melee's and I'm a bit worried that it might feel a little loose at first. Meh, I'll get used to it I guess...
