The other side of the story...

June 7, 2000: the year of tribulations

My dearest wife;

          I am writing in the hopes that one day soon i will see you again.  My crew and i have now piloted the Magnus through the Andromeda galaxy.  I swear to you i will find our baby a safe planet she can call home.  I know you didn't want to do this, but you must understand what's at stake here.  I recently recieved word of plans to overtake and subdue our home planet once and for all!  For years, as you know, we've been planning this day; but our army simply isn't large enough to defend against his (not so) Excelency's army.  As soon as i find our daughter a safe planet where she can grow up in peace, we go to war.  Again, i'm sorry we have to do this but you know if she was ever discovered, the Caldormaqs would kill her.  I will return home soon, i promise.

-Your loving husband

-King Aslan

Upon recieving this letter the Queen of Xork, Queen Pamela, wept for both fear and joy.  Her husband had now been gone a considerably long time and she couldn't run the planet herself.  If you wonder how this ties to the story consider this.  Andromeda is the closest galaxy to ours...

N.E.S. part VI

For some reason, and i never figured out why, she had some mysterious power in her possession that she never shared with anyone.  I couldn't figure out what her power was, but she never knew i knew about it.  A few days after i met her, she asked me to be her boyfriend.  I told her that that kind of a relationship would requier complete honesty on both our parts.  I still couldn't get her to tell me her secret.  So i researched certain things that might give me clues on the internet, i found nothing.  My friend peter came over and we played a little super smash bros melee, me kicking his butt as usual.  I told him about the things i've been thinking about rebekkah and he told me never to mention it to her, more people knew about it than she would ever know.  My friend also went into investigating things with me on the internet, we actually found something!  There were people long ago called the Faust who had 6 fingers on each hand, 6 fingers on each foot, and hereditary powers to control the elements.  The first thing that came to my mind was Avatar, how they bend water and stuff, but it went on to say that few of them had the special gift to control weather, taking the place of her ability to "bend" the elements.  I always knew she seemed to hide something, but could she possibly have both of these abilitites?  There was only 1 person every hundred years born with both abilities and they would be the leader of them all for 90 years time, when they died on the eve of thier 90th birthday, the whole race would go into extinction!!! Unless...

N.E.S. Episode V: Return of the story

After thinking all the evidence through, it just didn';t add up, so i put the case to rest and chilled with my friends for the next few days.  School was gonna be starting again soon, I got as prepared as possible, which for me is not prepared at all.  Being the new kid was rough, but my friends helped a little.  It wasn't all that bad until i met her...  You know her, the school slut, the valley wannabee, the popular girl who never takes notice of you, that's her.  In this case her name was Rebekkah, brown hair to match her eyes and a face that made everyone want her, except me.  I'm not that into girls like that, and she couldn't stand it.  On the first day she introduced herself and invited me to have lunch with her, i happily accepted the offer, only to find out from my friends what she was all about.  I figured it'd be rude not to keep a promise such as lunch, and i was trying to put on a new mask of a gentlemen, because one girl told me that the world needs more gentlemen.  I went to lunch with her.  We talked about music, other stuff, i made her laugh, the usual lunch between aquaintences.  There was so much more to her though, that i never cuold figure out exactly what, but i knew there was more, so I became her friend out of curiosity.  I told her i wasnt' really interested in her romantically, and she said she respected me for that and that alot of guys wouldn't have had the guts to tell her.  But the story doesn't end there...

Investigating a dead end case...

I started by looking at the spot on the TV where the lightning had struck, if it was lightning.  It seemed odd, something was out of place.  There didn't seem to be any burn marks, just a clean cut.  I took notice of this wierd phenomena and continued by climbing on the roof to survey the entry into our house.  It turned out that the same wierd cut was there, both the exact same shape, and neither with any sign of a burn mark that normally would be left by lightning.  My friend told me Texas weather was awkward and one day it'd be raining cats and dogs while the day before it'd be sunny all day with no clouds, but i never thought the weather would have been this wierd.  I couldn't find out much else, so i got myself some pizza and chilled in my room for the rest of the day.  My week just kept geting wierder...

Adventure enough for a lifetime...

It was raining, lightning, thunder, the whole shabang, and i was lovin' it.  It was so much better than anything i'd ever seen, a real show.  Since i couldn't go outside i fired up my old-school snes and started playing Mortal combat two.  All of a sudden the power went out, just before i was gonna kill the third boss, too.  I found a flashlight in the drawer and looked for our backup power supply, a generator that i hook up to the fuse box.  Coincidentally i didn't find it.  and just my luck, i heard the door open,my dad was already home.  I don't believe in bad luck, but i do conform to the theory of extremely unfortunate coincidences.  So, turning the flashlight off, i moved to the corner where i knew he'd come through and got ready to whack him.  Unfortunately it was my best friend who lived across the street who got the beating, when he came to i told him what happened and he said i was way to paraniod.  for some reason my tv turned on, out of nowhere, with no power to the rest of the house.  I decided why not challenge my friend at a game while the tv's working.  I never had the chance, it exploded!  i picked up the controller a few secondls later and it gave me a pretty good electrical shock.  when the storm finally let up my friend and i went out on our bikes, but i was getting suspiciouse of my new home.  The nest day i went to work on my investigation of the wierd occurances...

What seems like an eternity will go on forever...

I was fine with Texas, I mean, it was pretty cool.  The stars were out at night, I'd found some friends, and to top it all off, The steep landscape was absolutely perfect for riding my bike at full speed down the hill, through the street, and as far as i wanted to go from there.  I calculated my speed at about 25mph tops!  I was able to coast the bottom of the hill for about 1/4 of a mile!  I loved the wind in my hair, the sun to my back, and a small forest stretched out in front of me.  I often spent time reading near my favorite tree.  I even built my own underground burro with a carpeted floor.  My life was great, but it wasn't perfect.  In Manhattan, my parents had been together.  They decided on divorce when my dad went awol and kept insisting, to keep us safe, that we move to Texas.  Dad got custody, and mom got everything else, except my belongings, and my dad persuaded her to give him his computer.  I took it hard, i went emo for a month, but i got over it.  As for now i was doin good, until one day when...

How eternity began...

Once upon a time... no no no, how bout... there once was a man from nantucket... no, too familiar... ok how bout this... call me ishmael... no, my name is Zatara.  I come from a land flowing with milk and honey.  Ok Manhattan isn't that cool but, well, i like it all the same.  My dad always thought this island was a decaying heap of too many people in one place, yet we never moved... until the whole war on terrorism began.  Now i live in Texas, big and beutiful Texas.  Not my home, but Texas.  Yes life has it's ups and downs, but for me, it's all zig-zagging.  Kinda makes me dizzy.  Life just goes by so fast.  Anyways the hardest part was leaving my girlfriend.  No this isn't another romance story, it's a story that never ends, and this is how it began, and how life as i knew it ended...
