I have to say that Game Pass really excites me. I always end up with both eventually. The DS4 controller really hurt my hands this gen, and would really play a factor in what console I'd more likely main.

While Sony gets some interesting niche exclusives, I do find myself more comfortable playing on Xbox lately when it comes to multiplatform games due to controller comfort, services and consumer-friendly practices.

I mean, if I get a PS5, that might also mean I need to get a few $70 games too. I find a lot of value in Game Pass lately with stuff like that. Half my PS4 exclusives I haven't really played much of either, so, maybe I'd be better off finishing those off and upgrading my Xbox?

I flip flop though, because in the end I love all games. This is honestly the first time in my life I've partially considered building a PC.

Do we think there will be gyroscopic controllers? (Did I say that right?) I only say that for mainly Splatoon. a lot of people loved the motion aiming for Splatoon. My wife, specifically, cannot aim without it.

@Rotondi: I do agree about the gameplay. It seems like there is so much right going for this game and I want to keep coming back because it seems like an advanced version of everything I loved in Mega Man X ... but I never feel like I'm actually in danger or challenged. I don't think you can actually die in the game, can you? I have to actually really try. I think I kept getting "extra chances" almost like how Maria revived Richter in Castlevania SOTN in the prologue.

If I feel like I'm not so invincible, it would be amazing!

@ProtossRushX: I have huge hands and had to return the small one. Got the XL. Perk of the new XL is it has a better screen. Colors pop out so much better vs the new small or any of the old ones.

I like both soccer games. Depends on what I'm in the mood for. One I feel like the D is always on me in PES and it's a hard yet predictable rush, which is fine. I end up having a lot of unpredictable things happen in FIFA and it's a little more relaxed on the D. PES passes are more like bullets and FIFA are floaty. I'm fine with both. Again, whatever I'm in the mood for. Love em both.

So, trying PES 2017 demo. Never got 2016 last year because I had that free version on PS4.

Still wanted it on Xbox, but the graphics seemed vastly different. This year, from my first impressions, it seems to look a lot better than it did last year. (Maybe less shadow quality here and there, but that's minor.) Might consider grabbing on XB this year.

Nobody happens to know the resolution difference this year, do they? It seems super close this time.

I think Splatoon would be a game of the year contender for me across all consoles.

I just know that I can't stop playing it and it's all I can think about. Not many games have done that to me in a while.

Would I be better off tracking down the Legacy Collection or grabbing MGS3 and Peace Walker here? Eventually get MGS4 then later. I have the HD collection of 2 and 3 on Vita, but I'm realizing I want to play it on the big screen now,
