I'm back!

I seriously doubt anyone reads this (hence the six month gap), but I like to get my thoughts down on paper, as it were.

In the intervening months, a lot has happened. I now own a Wii, I've got all 120 stars on Super Mario Galaxy and I'm cursing Nintendo for delaying Brawl!

I've also finally logged onto Wifi, so I've been travelling the globe in Animal Crossing and racing the world in Mario Kart!

That's it for now. I've probably missed a load of important stuff, but, like I said, no-one reads this anyway. Except you, of course.

Pinball Crazy!

Now that I've had time to settle into the new Pokemon game, I've had much more time for Metroid Prime Pinball - and what a game it is!

Having been a fan of pinball games for ages, I am pleased to report that it is a superb game (although, I was quite dissappointed by the DS Rumble Pak - it's not all it's cracked-up to be).

In other news, I've almost completed Elite Beat Agent's "Hard Rock!" mode, but I must say that, being a man, I am a slight disadvantage, this being that there are three good-looking girls dancing whilst I'm supposed to be concentrating!

As for this post's funny message, it comes in the form of a cartoon. Head to my image page!

Confession time

OK, here it goes...

I've never played a Pokemon game. Phew! Glad I got that one out!

Yes, believe it or not, I was never one for Pokemon. I had a few stickers, but that's as far as it went for me. Well, not any more...

For as of 12 hours ago I am an official Pokemon Trainer (cue fanfare!). Yep, I bought (or rather traded-in for) Pokemon Diamond this morning, and I have already played it for nearly 6 hours! I am hugely dissappointed that I didn't get a game when I was younger (I always wanted a Game Boy, but my financial situatuion got in the way.

Anyways, I also got Metroid Pinball, which I played for about 20 mins, thought "cool!" and then went straight back to Pokemon. I'm sure that by tomorrow, I'll be giving both of them equal amounts of my time!

(As of this post, I have decided to quote an interesting phrase/paragraph in an effort to make you, the reader, smile)

From Animal Crossing: Wild World's Noticeboard:

"Everyone loves kids! I just ate three!"

A terrible game and a must-have

It's been nearly a week now since my last post - and a lot's changed.

I have now decided that Transformers: Decepticons is pretty rubbish. This is mainly due to the irritating climax, which, to me, seems to contain some kind of glitch (when I grab the Allspark, the game continues, despite the fact that I have the "most powerful object in the universe" sitting in my palm). It could be that I'm just doing something wrong. Has anyone else suffered a similar problem?

The other big news is that I finally laid my hands on a copy of Elite Beat Agents, and I've decided that it THE best game on the DS. Great idea, hilarious missions and superb music (except for Avril Lavigne - bleugh!) make this a must-have for all DS users. All I can say is:

MUSIC LIVES!!! :D

The best of Nintendo DS - the top 10 games I own

Here is my ultimate top 10 NDS games:

10. Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 - good fun, but completed it in an afternoon

9. Lego Star Wars II - too many glitches! But still good fun!

8. Metroid Prime Hunters - I used to hate it, but I got back into it over the (exceedingly wet) summer

7. New Super Mario Bros. - can't get enough of those mini-games!

6. Big Brain Academy - fun AND educational: who'd have thought it could be done?

5. 42 All-Time Classics - a good round-up of games

4. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - This game is awesome, man!

3. Animal Crossing: Wild World - addictive, cute and inspired

2. Mario Kart DS - I fell in love with Mario Kart about 7 years back when playing at a friend's house.I am glad to finally own copy of this superb game!

1. Elite Beat Agents - THE best game ever put on a handheld system!

The ones I didn't include, but still love:

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 - it's not a game; it's an interactive mystery novel! It would otherwise be no. 1!

Electroplankton - not a game
