When you escape from a battle (but the heat/alert is still on) it will be blue and when you are hidden/safe it will be green.
One question, why do you keep asking about the controls when you don't have the game and you can't play it?How can the controls ne your problem when you can't even run the game?

Like I said, I watched LOADS of videos and I couldn't figure it out. I also read reviews saying something about the controls being bad. I looked up on Google and no luck. That's why. Next year I'll possibly be getting a new computer which will run ANYTHING! Then I can play AC. Just need a head start. What to expect, so to speak. Although give me any game and one minute later I would have figured it out.
[QUOTE="SpineBreaker5"][QUOTE="Gog"]It's an alert indicator showing the current attitude of the guards towards you and next to it is your health bar. The animations are just there for aesthetics.Gog
So, what you're saying that, in general, it's not really important. Well that will settle the problem. Just to guess, when its normal there're no guards nearby, when it changes to the "Y" there are guards nearby and when it turns red you are in the heat of battle. Is that right?
Basically, yes. Therer are a few more modes like when you try to escape after battle and are out of sight and when you are hidden (cooling off) after being pursued.
Is that when it turns green?
The controls are better than the console versionsDarth_Kane
Did you have to change the controls for Oblivion? I saw them and cringed. They were in the most unorthadox places. Jeez, I'd change them VERY quickly!

I agree. The controls were a bit strange at first, but once you get accustomed to it, it's very easy. But why would you need to know the controls if you can't play it?
P.S. - Yeah, i like Dani Filth too.:)

I've got some good news for you. Check out my profile and see all the Dani Filth pics I have.
The controls are rather well-done and more forgiving than in the PoP series. The game is perfectly playable without a gamepad.
The HUD in the upper right corner of the screen shows the mapping of the keys depending on the situation you're in
E eagle vision (used to tell ennemies from friendlies, to spy and on vantage points)
left mouse click : attack/counter/push/draw sword
right-mouse click : defend/climb wall/run
shift : blend (walk slowly), gentle push
F : interact with people

So, why does the Animus logo keep changing?
