If I may:

1.) the camera angles were the biggest issue with NG2. In fact, if that had been fixed, most of people's complaints would have subsided. but the difficulty + questionable camera adjustments caused problems.

2.) the graphical problems were pretty few and far between, IIRC. the only felonious moment was towards the end, running up the stairs. there was a bizarre slow-down effect. other than that, it was pretty manageable, considering.

3.) difficulty in and of itself isn't an issue. if it's too hard, change the difficulty setting until you get better. the issue here was how it felt cheap because the camera angles caused you to sometimes take damage from people you couldn't see attacking you.

4.) nobody cares about playing as other characters. it's like talking about playing Metal Gear Solid and complaining you can only play as Snake. You can complain...but really?

5.) Didn't need co-op mode. just like DMC and most serious action titles this gen. It'd be interesting to have, but far from something to list as a "shortcoming". I don't think anyone who picked up NG2, NG, NG Black or NG Sigma cared about anything like that.

6.) I beat it. Was irritating at times, but far from impossible. anyone who beat NG1 shouldn't have a lot of trouble with NG2. IMO, anyway.Flame-Eternal

This post consists of pure excellence, honesty, and maturity. I think you deserve a +5 before I leave this topic. Thank you for your very well said reply. I can tell you actually did play NGII by your honest response.

Btw some of you should try using gameplay footage to support your points: Having body parts flying around that don't disappear, with blood effects that coat the stages completely, is a useful factor in the original game's favor no matter what. Sigma 2 runs at 720P. But so did Sigma 1 and NG2 was universally regarded as far more technically demanding than that. I'm wondering what the trade off was for the Sigma 2 resolution increase because NG2 had a lot going on. With more gameplay footage in the coming weeks, we'll know. I suspect a reduction in the number of enemies on screen for Sigma 2 could be it. Slowdown is still a question mark for Sigma 2, because some vids have it with just a few enemies on screen and some don't. The little bit of co-op mission footage looked good, but some chapter 1 Ryu footage looked bad. If NGS2 was pushing everything pixel for pixel that NG2 is, and running it at a higher res with 2xAA and all the extras, then it would be an undeniable a case of OWNED for the PS3 over the 360. But it's not. There have been compromises made in Sigma 2 and they're clearly known even with little gameplay footage of it available right now. Let's see how things shape up when both final versions are able to be put side by side on the same setup. Enjoy your ever changing and never ending system war fellas. ;)

Wow I haven't posted on here in months but I couldnt help myself with this one, I was floating around the net when I saw this.

On the left is Ayane for the PS3's Sigma. On the Right is Ayane from the 360. This sort of change is big! It really shows what the PS3 can do in comparison to the 360. I thought this would lead into an interesting disgussion so go!

Not going to get any further involved in this guys, but the two screengrabs of Ayane are not a valid comparison for a few reasons: 1. NG2 Ayane is only in the game for two minutes or less. The lighting is that way because it's a foggy night in the Hayabusa Village because volcanic ash is coating everything when Mt. Fuji erupts. If you play the game, you will see what I mean. 360 Ayane looked fine in that scene. It's the way Itagaki planned her to be because she's younger than she is in DOA. 2. Sigma 2 Ayane screen looks to be from a FMV trailer released when Sigma 2 was first revealed. It's also captured when Ayane is on her night time stage in Venice, where there is no ashy fog effect. It's clearer and more colorful only for that reason. 3. That NG2 Ayane was from in-game footage. NG2 uses no CG's other than the final credit's staff roll. Please use images in the proper context when making these comparisons. Once Sigma 2 is out, then this will be much easier to do with similar footage from each game. I will be back to see the interesting results then. I suspect lack of AA is going to be an issue, despite the fact that Sigma 2 got 15 more months of development time.

[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]Yup, I bet it was their sinister plan to rush it out a week earlier. Man, a week and the game could've been polished to the max!lolkie_81

Your missing the point { again}. I dont recall him saying a week. There is no argument that ng2 feels rushed and unpolished. If they didnt rush it something else happened because sucks compared to the first one in everyway except combos and weapons.

And your basis for the saying the game sucks compared to the first one is based on you having Sigma on PS3 right? What if that game never came out and you were forced to actually play the xbox version? Because I own both the first xbox versions and you are smoking some good stuff. If it never came out on PS3 you'd say "NG sucks" in general just like most of the fanboys did last gen.

Saying NGII sucks compared to the first one is the cool thing to do. Makes kids feel better about themselves for whatever reason.

Btw, still can't find Amy's vids of the mysterious playthrough. Did the TC even play NGII? Looks doubtful right now. I didn't play MGS4 and I have no reason to make topics about it -- I don't care about it no matter how many 10s it got. To me, NG2 was worth buying the faultiest console ever made just to play it. Why do fanboys/girls have to make topics about games they don't own or haven't even played?

Hmmm...from reading your posts TC, it seems that your basis for claiming the game is rushed lies with the fact that you get owned too much when you play it. Maybe it's not for you?

This topic was made by just another crybaby and a fanboy at that. You argument is painfully weak.
