i just watched the extended interview with reggie at gametrailers and he said about a big game for the holiday and ive been thinking. they just had a metroid, they just had a zelda, they just had a mario, what else is there. could they bring back kid icarus? could we get that Hideo Kojima game everybody's been hoping for? could something like Kirby be coming back? Ice Climbers? Earthbound? these are the questions that get me through the day

I went to the movies today, hoping that i would see a quality movie in There Will Be Blood. No. Some bulb went out or something happened to the projector because the dude up there was sleeping. i didn't even think they did anything up there. whatever. so the manager said we could go to any movie that was starting now and she would also give us raincheck tickets. so my friends made me see meet the spartans. honestly, i would never ever ever go see that movie in a million freakin years. but i went to go see it. i am an idiot. That was the worst steaming pile of **** that i have ever laid eyes on. it was the worst movie i have ever seen. it was worse than epic movie. they really need to stop making these stupid spoof movies. please stop paying to see these horrible, horrible, awful excuses for movies. they are just going to keep on making these spoof movies. STOP THE MADNESS!!!!

This is no news, but this has been one of the best years of gaming in history. Mass Effect, Halo 3, Bioshock, you name it. but it boiled down to two games for me. Super Mario Galaxy and Call of Duty 4.

Call of Duty 4-The first good modern warfare game was one hell of a good one. Infinity Ward realized that people were so sick of WWII games and they finally made Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The campaign is so short, and that made me really pissed off because it has seemed that 6 hour games are ok now. Halo 3 did it and people didn't care because of the fact that it was halo and the multiplayer was exceptional. Call of Duty 4's campaign was critisized more for no reason at all because people weren't expecting as much as they were with halo. but the multiplayer is so much better and the campaign is so much better. the story is really touching and powerful that halo lacked because it wasn't realistic. the multiplayer while it does not have as much maps or modes but the perks and the weapons and the kind of sense of an RPG game was really amazing. best 360 game of the year but surprisingly, not my game of the year.

Super Mario Galaxy-Game of the Year. Gametrailers picked it, Gamespot picked it, and i am picking it. i recently looked at the 360 forums and i was shocked. there was a thread of do you agree with the game of the year. they kept on bashing this game when probably the majority of them 3/4 or more have not even played the game. this game innovates the wii. there have only been a handful of good games on the wii which is really disapointing because developers think that they have to include the motion capabilities to its fullest which leads to clunky gameplay which mostly breaks the game. Super Mario Galaxy reinvents the wii, the platforming genre, wii controls and gameplay, and a whole lot more. without this game, the wii would of crashed and burned in the gaming industry (not with the casuals cuz their idiots). It was also a whole lot of fun to play. the level design was absolutely stunning, the graphics compared to some 360 games and it was by far the best looking game on the wii, it was a long game, the music is classic, as alex navarro said "you could put bubsy in this game and it still would have been great". absolutely game of the year. by far

The New England Patriots have become 16-0. wow. i doubted it the entire time. i thougt to myself, "there is no way that they can win all of them. they have to lose at least one game." i was horribly wrong. i have never seen a team as good and diverse as this patriots. by far better than the 72' dolphins. Tom Brady broke Peytons record, moss broke rices record, they are the first team to go 16-0 in the regular season, and a whole hell of a lot more. this team is really something i have never seen before. their defense is almost unstoppable lead by teddy bruschi and mike vrabel. god i am putting some money on the playoffs.

this year is awesome. i am from boston and this has been one of the best years in new england sports history. the red sox won the world series after yet another amazing comeback in the ALCS, the celtics have 3 of the best players in the nba paul pierce, ray allen, and kevin garnett while sporting the best record in the NBA, im not a big soccer fan but the new england revolution went tho the MLS cup but lost but still, the bruins suck and hockey sucks, and finally the patriots go 16-0 and probably beyond. i traveled back to boston for the world series at fenway then went back to colorado to see the finale (i live in colorado). then went back to boston to go to my sisters wedding. i have been staying here, seeing a few celtics game, went to a pats game and i am trying to get playoff tickets. I have gone to so many parties my head is starting to spin. this is madness

jeff must have been fired for something unfair because why else would they be hiding something from everyone?

Jeff Gerstmann was the glue holding gamespot together. i was sad when carrie left, and it was even worse when rich and greg left. but JEFF!!!! gamespot will fall apart without him. he was the best editor, he had the most experience, he was always friendly and funny, a great on the spot host, and just a great person

i dont know if that is true but that is real low. Gamespot should be loyal and realize that Jeff is the only thing holding this site together. Screw Eidos, they should learn to deal with it. The game got a few good reviews, and i got it and i liked it, but maybe gamespot didn't like the game. Hey, IGN gave Assassins Creed a 7.7 and you dont see Ubisoft complaining! come on this is ridiculous.

Jeff, you will be very, very, very missed and we will always remember you.

Edit: It was the tone of voice and saying the game was ugly in the video review (which has been deleted from gamespot hint search "kane and lynch gamespot video review" on google) which got him fired. absolutely ridiculous. alex navarro has done much worse than that in countless videos (you know you have alex dont deny it)
This will turn a hell of a lot of people off of this site, im even thinking about it but i dont think that i will leave i have been loyal to this site for a long time. Gamespot you should really rethink this. if you really thought that it was a bad game, then why advertise. you might need the money but get a new advertisment.
