...you don't want/like a present a family member got for you?

Here's my story:

My dog likes to get under the Christmas tree, and there are some gifts under there already. Well, when I went to go get my dog out from under the tree, he had ripped the paper on a side of one gift from my dad. So, I saw part of the side, and I read something like "...remote control helicopter." There's no tag on it, but I can only assume it's for me.

See, I feel like a jerk for not wanting it and wondering why my dad would get me something like that. I'm too old for remote control toys, and I've never showed interest in remote control toys in my entire life. And when I open it on Christmas, I'm gonna feel even more like a jerk!! I hate returning stuff (well, from family, anyways), so I'm gonna feel even MORE like a jerk when I tell him why I don't want to keep it. You might be thinking, "Oh, just keep it..." but then it'd just sit in a closet and that way, it's a waste of money.:?

PS: [Here's the "I need help" part] Do I tell my mom that I saw it? Earlier today, I asked her who the long present was for and she said she didn't know. If I tell her that I saw what it is, and express my concerns, she can maybe convince him to take it back himself and choose something else. I'm not ungrateful or anything--please don't think that--it's just...I'm too old for those kind of things, plus I'm not really into them. (Sorry this was long, I wanted to explain everything.)

It's 3D Animation and Graphics, and he's good with computers. He sometimes helps me. Wouldn't want to tick him off. ;)

In one period I sit next to a kid that is just completely annoying. He's one of those people that talk all matter-of-factly, but says the stupidest crap...

Here are a few of his recent gems: [Imagine these in a deep, monotone "I know it all" voice]

-- "I once jumped six feet into the air. I literally jumped six feet into the air." (This one brought tears to my eyes when he said it.)

-- "I bench press 185. I can take down anyone in this school." (He's a scrawny nerd. I could not contain my lulz--I laughed right in his face.)

-- "I probably have the most upgraded moped in the United States."
