[QUOTE="clubhaxor"]Well I don't know what games you see on PS3 that are gonna make you feel like a gamer, there are none at all. But do what you want.Bulldog257

ok look at resistance, call of duty, killzone2,etc.....

You mean just resistance? Since Call of Duty IS on xbox 360 AS WELL. So by your brilliant logic, CoD is a **** game too. Killzone? Why are you EVEN bringing that to the table. First of all, nobody is even SURE about HOW it looks like. What are you judging it on? A pre-rendered game trailer? Game on buddy... Game on...

I love how some you guys b**** about how We miss rumble. Maybe you guys should tell Hideo Kojima to STFU too then.

Read this article

If motion sensing was so inspiring, maybe you would think that Kojima would know what the hell they'll use motion sensing for by now.

Stan, you ever watched Saving Private Ryan? Simpley an incredible film in the way it hits you right in the face with the violence and action and terror. That movie doesn't have a rumble device, yet it is very immersive for a film. Games are getting to be that way, and rumble is inconsequential when it comes to bringing you into the action.Mordred19

I know games are becoming more and more cinematic. But I don't see how this is even a comparison. If I needed rumble to watch a movie for a good experience...the film has a serious problem. Plus, watching a movie is an "inactive" role. This is a game, you control your own character. Essentially, YOU are in the game, and rumble is one of those things that lets you know you're there. Furthermore, the graphics aren't there yet. Not even close. So please, leave your movie comments aside.

*edit* for grammar

You made very good points. But like you just said, they are ADDING a lot of new things to create a better atmosphere. So in no way should a next gen controller lose features that are supposed to enhanced just that when compared to its previous generation.

You're placing too much emphasis on the motion aspect of the controller.

First of all the video you linked to is mad old anyway it's been shown here a dozen times already and while it shows motion sensitifity it dosent neccesarily mean there was vibration going on in the game. I mean Warhawk on was made before they even HAD vibrating PS2 controllers so the video is useless in your argument to begin with.

Secondly As I said too much emphasis on the motion aspect of the controller because not every game HAS to use it fully for it to be a helpfull feature. In Resistance fall of man motion is used sparingly. you can shake of fire, melee attack an enemy that has grabbed you or simply tilt the controller to the left and right to get stat information and a map quickly while in the heat of battle online, it's really very useful where as Rumble is only going to be something that's additional to what you can already visually experience on the screen. Tacked on only applies to something people use because they can and dont have any real effective ideas for it. If anything Rumble has been takced on for years and getting rid of it shows how it really added very little to the experience in comparison to something that can make the play experience more actively fun and interactive.

In the Motorstorm demo when you race with your nitro on your meeter heats up until you eventually explode. Now before in the time of the Dualshock you'd get the controller vibrating to tell you to be carefull but in Motorstorm you have graphics and sound so highly detailed that you can feel your engine about to blow before it does and it offers the same feeling as you would have experieanced with vibration just without actually shaking the controller.
Alpha2
First of all, the loss of rumble is because of immersion. Second of all, if the rumble added so little value to the gaming experience; the dual shock controller would not have been able to rack up so many awards and deemed as a necessity by many gamers. What you say about the motion sensing in R:FOM are legit; but in your case, it is underly emphasized. Further more, rumble is a great way to add on to the atmosphere. The fact that you're able to "feel" the sounds you hear, and experience kinetic feed back is something that is irreplacable.

Yo nish,

Don't hurt yourself with all the intense posting :o

And its already evident that the wiimote has rumble and motion sensing as well for a more modern example.
