Come on sony lets do this $299 PS5 Digital $399 PS5 UHD blu ray 8K 144fps 22Gb/sec read/write NVMe lets go!

In all honesty that would be the best move if Sony could pull it off.

Sony's strength right now is that both versions of the PS5 have the same specs, putting it above the Series S and Closer to the X.......

Then a year Later announce PS5 Pro which is $499 and stronger than the Series X lol

I mainly buy physical, probably 80% of the time.

Only time I buy digital is when I'm gifted a PSN Card, the game is only on Digital, or when there's a digital sale too good to pass up.

Then there are cases where a game is digital first, but gets a physical release later for more money.....I'll go with the digital

@Fairmonkey: I think you forgot a fast SSD drive. And also a Windows license. Does a cooling fan and paste for CPU come with any of that stuff? What about an 4k optical drive? If one isn't needed then compare it to a $399(rumor) PS5.

Also his RAM price is ridiculous you aren't getting a decent amount of Ram for $50 or a case for $50. Even with his cheap prices he's still at $800 and it's more likely $1200. The last time I built a PC, during 360 and PS3 Gen, I built a PC more powerful than the consoles and I was cheap and it still was over $1000

Limited production? Is this physical only? Im confused

I think people didn't listen carefully, there's going to be a special edition released from Sept. to March, like a launch edition, I would assume a standard edition would be available after march, unless Im the one who is wrong

Not surprised.

Most gamers, especially here, have an ADHD quality to them where they have to play multiple games at a time. You see this a lot from posters who reference their backlog and lack of space on hard rives.

Games get started, never to get finished.

This exactly, I don't understand this phenomenon with gamers. A new game comes out, then in a couple of weeks it's old news? Where's a new game to play? You're de-valuing your games this way. I used to be this way, but I've stopped. I was spending way too much money on games I didn't finish, and I wasn't getting the most out of my games, especially the ones I liked.

It's only going to get worse with services like Game Pass. Gamers will spend more time browsing for games to play rather than playing..................just like the Netflix joke

@djoffer123: For PC gamers I think the nvidia GPUs are a no brainer. Especially if all you have to do is upgrade your gpu

But I'm not about to pay $2000 to build a PC from scratch (Monitor and all). I wasn't even going to pay $500 for a new console. I'll wait for them to be around $400.

I already have a 4K tv, so I don't need to buy a new one. I don't have 4K monitor or a keyboard, mouse, computer speakers.

As a collector it's a great feature, as old hardware dies it would be nice to have something new to play your old games on.

Which is why I love my BC PS3, but it's getting up there in age now, and these models aren't known to be reliable anyway
