The Weekly Rocket 6/22/06

-----------------------June 22, 2006-------------------------

Hello everybody this is the first edition of THE WEEKLY ROCKET where I post news about video games, my life, and reviews on movies.

This Mother is in Japan

I didn't mean by a human, I meant a video game. The Mother series or in USA, Earthbound for the SNES, has a new game in its trilogy called Mother 3.

However, this game is only Japan who knows if it might come to USA but look at Brain Age. That was a Japan made game for the DS and it came to America. One of the reasons it did is because it was really popular in Japan, you expect Nintendo would put it to USA to get the same respect, well of course they did. Mother 3 is a RPG for the Game Boy Advance and although we've got many like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Advance, at least there's one RPG I think is fresh and its representation looks beautiful and innovative.

This game looks like a Paper Mario game but has a technique that most RPGs don't have. As said in one of the 3 reviews of Mother 3, when you go through the combat its like Rock-Paper-Scissors but different. I wish they have this game on America but when I plan to get Nintendo Wii, I get to play EarthBound again.

360 games VS One Xbox game

Now already you might be asking, what do you mean? Well there's about 12-30 games for the 360 (for example Perfect Dark Zero, GRAW, Oblivion, Far Cry Instincts Predator) and we all know those are great but what maintains us from getting to play them every day? One game that came out for the Xbox..

Halo 2. Have you noticed your friends who do have an Xbox 360 mostly playing Halo 2? I have, since the first day I got my 360. Microsoft is definately working hard on next-generation games partically Gears of War and Halo 3. But other next-generation games aren't getting respected like Halo 2. I've played Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero online and about 36% are playing those games while 64% are playing Halo 2. How I found those results? Very simple, go to a Matchmaking game in Halo 2 for up to 16 players and it takes only 10 seconds to find 15 players to battle with you. In other next-generation games, it takes at least 2 minutes. So my next question is, is the next generation games going to be tanked or not going to get alot of money for the customer because the customer would rather play a 3 year old game? Well, talk about

falling down. Overall I think the reason why Microsoft made the 360 is for you the player to play new and totally innovative games like COD2 or PGR3. I bet that when Halo 3 comes out, alot of people rush to get the 360 as well as the game.

Nacho Libre or Click?

I'm both a fan (not that BIG) of Jack Black and Adam Sandler. Jack Black's crazy and weird humor in Nacho Libre looks convincing especially his confession going "Nachoooooooooooooooooooooo oohhh.." "Who?" and Jared Hess who directed Napoleon Dynamite is directing this. But this Friday, the movie, "Click" starring Adam Sandler is coming out.

I love Adam Sandler's low-brow, sarcastic, and childish humor especially when he goes slow-mo with a girl running and her "milkshake" goes up and down. And when he changes color to green (Hulk parody) to purple (Barney parody). What should I watch? You can suggest both or get bootleg or other ridculous decisions I can take lol.

Have a wonderful week
