I'm torn between Trenched and Outland... I'm kind of leaning toward Trenched, but $15 is boo! :P I've played both demos and enjoyed them both... Thoughts on the games?

USA.
Newegg has some models listed now (they won't ship until Monday, but you can lock in the price before they jump.... as they usually do)
$200-$220 for GTX 460 768MB
$220-$250 for GTX 460 1GB
The 768MB models trade blows with the 5830 until put under extreme duress. The 1GB model smokes the 5830. Palit is offering a model with a core @ 800Mhz, which is a significant jump from the reference 675. 900Mhz is not out of the question by any means for ambitious OC'ers.
The 1GB 460 has a 160w TDP, but comes with 2 PCIE connectors. In theory it could handle 75w + 75w+ 75w (PCI Express + 2 x External Power) = 225w, so there should be plenty of room to OC these bad boys.
I have a GTX 460 ordered, should be here Wednesday. I'll post my results :D
Ordered the 1GB GTX 460 OC from Gigabyte. Hoping to push it to 800-900Mhz core.
Newegg doesn't take preorders on graphics cards. The listing simply partially leaked ahead of the launch.
If the 1GB model falls in the sub-$250 range I'm in. Non-reference MSI and Palit models are listed. If they have voltage control... drool...
[QUOTE="Staryoshi87"]@ swehunt - Not quite the point I was making :P The default clock is the key here, since it's higher than it should be, it's been modified SOMEWHERE of course, and it's unlikely this was done at the factory. Trying to find out where he got it to start my investigation ;)swehuntStart with the TC in this thread. TC: is it possible you OC'ed in your sleep/drunk/sikness and forgot about it? If he overclocked it, the default clock would still list 725/1000. I inquired with the TC as to where he obtained it.
Work. I upgrade my rig on a near-montly basis :P Many upgrades aren't upgrades, though. They are interesting side-grades :D I'm "downgrading" in size and performance now. Core i3 fury! (OC's to 4.4Ghz+ btw ;))
This doesn't happen. Either you've got a card with a 5870 bios or one that's been bios-modded to run at 850/1200.
Asus only offers 5850s with 725/1000 and 765/1125 clocks (reference and directCU).
It's possible that you've got a refurb. Post a GPU-Z screenshot, I won't believe that this card exists until you post it.
Didn't you read the thread? He did post a GPU-z screen. I did, pretty hard to notice a text frog link. Should be either in hyperlink form or directly posted as a picture to catch someone's eye. This device ID is characteristic of asus 5850s, so somehow the clocks were manipulated. I stand by my postulated theories. @OP: Where did you purchase this card? This doesn't happen. You posted this on OCN too. It's most likely USER error, and Powercolor would be happy to fix it for you as it's still under warranty if there is a legitimate issue.Cards from both nVidia and ATI and ALL brands have issues from time to time, it's the nature of the industry.
I have used 4 Powercolor HD5 series cards with zero issues, and I have used 10 HD5 series cards overall with ZERO issues as well. If you want a GTX 470 that's great, it's a fine card, but the internet doesn't need your PEBKAC.
