Ninja Gaiden on its hardest difficulty was ridiculous. Ninja Gaiden 2 was rock hard on cranked up difficulties too (sadly easy on it's normal setting though).

Red Dead Redemption. I LOVED Red Dead Revolver on the Xbox, and I have such fond memories of it. This nostalgia in addition to the hype the game produced created and insurmountable mountain of expectation for me. Sadly, RDR was never going to be what I wanted it to, thus, it's my most disappointing purchase.
I did not enjoy Halo 3 or Half-Life 2 in the slightest, I really don't think they're very good. Neither of the story modes kept me glued to my seat and I put both games down pretty quickly :?
Quick edit: Also, people rave about Assassin's Creed, the combat is somewhat enjoyable but it gets really stale really quickly.
From what I've seen so far I'm going to (hesitantly) go for better, in so far as I will enjoy it more than MW2. Maybe I'm being naive but I think Treyarch have listened to what the fans wanted more so than IF did with MW2 (dedicated servers, theatre mode etc.). Not to say that Treyarch have listened to ALL feedback and implemented everything the general consensus has called for.
I do reckon I'll enjoy it more though, I think they're being sensible with the ideas such as those implemented into kill streaks (i.e. them not counting towards your next one) and those I briefly mentioned above. However, I already know the RC Cars are going to drive me nuts. Still, can't have everything I suppose. So yeh, in short, I reckon it will be better in the sense that I will enjoy it more than MW2 (Zombies making a welcome return is a big bonus too.)
I expect there will be a fair bit of hate for Black Ops, as there was with MW2, but most of it I don't find to be very constructive, merely a disagreement in opinion or one person preferring one type of game to another. I can only hope that there will be less bugs etc. on release (wishful thinking?)
I 'rocked' my first pad straight into the floor. I'm now into about 4 generations of pads, they all knew the risks.
I'm not totally sure how a competitive multi-player would work. I mean, a standard TD, you couldn't use the VATs system so I guess it'd be free aim but it couldn't really be on the world open map as nothing would get done. Hence, they'd probably have to make maps or sections of the world where it could happen, not totally sure a competitive multi-player would work,
On the other hand, a co-op online would be awesome. As long as it was done right, none of this Fable 2 crap, but where your mate can just jump in with his character and join in with your quests etc. I.e. take a leaf out of the Borderlands book.
Sadly I doubt it'll happen, the single player is ambitious enough without them bothering with incorporating multi-player modes. Also, I'd rather they spent more time on the single player modes than wasting time putting in a half arsed multi-player if I'm honest. If I want a co-op RPG experience I'll fire up Borderlands.
(Sort of thought as I went along there sorry :p)
Yeh you're right, I was probably just kidding myself that this could be the game I wanted it to. Back to MW2 it is then *sigh*Considering how close the release was to the beta I played. I avoided buying $50 of crap. I figured there would be little to know change that close to release.
It's pretty much a halfbaked game. Great potential, falls very short of typical expectations.

So the first time I ever heard about APB all those years ago I became incredibly excited, a constant world with constant and on going territory wars between cops and bad guys.
After following the title's development and playing in the beta, I pre-ordered it and thus received my early access. I wasn't blown away by the beta, but I figured the issues about combat and the sloppy driving mechanics would be polished up to form a brilliant title. I was so SO wrong. I am so disappointed with this title. The issues with the combat are still present, namely, the poor mechanics behind bullet spread (rather than properly calibrated recoil) leads to frantic strafing fights which require little skill to win and seemed to be based more on luck than anything else.
The cars still drive like you are permenantly on ice, and although I have now adjusted to the feel of the cars, it just feels like you are always battling against it.
Also I frequently found myself being dispatched alone, against 1 or more people who were supposed to be a similar level, yet had weapons and upgrades which I would not come across for another good chunk of gameplay (i.e. a good number of hours). This did improve when I found myself in a good group, but the combat makes it hard to enjoy even when you're doing a good job.
All in all, I'm gutted. I've been waiting for this title for a long while now, and now the project has come to fruition I just don't think they've pulled it off. My hopes still remain high for The Old Republic, but I've learnt not to get said hopes up, the hard way.
Anyone else find the same problems? Have I missed something painfully obvious?
Cheers.
I had a lot more fun on MW1, I do enjoy MW2, but I find myself growing tired of the numerous killstreaks and of course the commando perk. If I had to choose one though, I'd still probably go with MW2 as that's what most of my friends play these days.
Why would I if I already have one that works fine? raylewisnfl52My sentiments exactly. The only reason I can think that I would have to buy a new slim version is if my current system breaks, out of warranty.
