Guys, give him a break. After the first thirty minutes, I felt the same way but wouldn't let myself admit it - because it's MGS! So I just buckled down and played the rest of the game.

The middle east part is still very much a bore for me until the end of it. So I highly encourage the OP to keep playing. You'll end up loving it.

I played the first one and I've been following Mercs 2 quite extensively... I think the developers said they're ditching the card system, however, the high value target capture/kill mechanic is definitely a big part of the game.

So yes, the object of the game is to make money off of the Venezuelan conflict by fulfilling contracts and capturing the HVTs while trying to get revenge on a guy who screwed you over in the beginning:D

Absolutely. Mercenaries was my favorite game of last gen.

And Mercs 2 looks just as good, f not better.
